Still kinda mad at myself that i made that boston play. The numbers said one thing but my gut said another. Boston did outhit the cubs 7 to 6. So there is that.
Wash tied it up in the 8th only to implode in the 9th. The bullpen gave up 8 hits, 2 walks, 1 hbp, and 6 earned runs.
Looking to today, darvish has pitched much better than his metrics and era show. At least 3 earned runs occured because they left him in above his pitch count last game..but he had 2 outs. So i get it. I like the pads to get the cash today.
Thought i played the angles on here, but didnt. Fun game to watch.
I cant ever get a good read on a few of these cards pitchers. Pallante almost mirrored his last start against the nats, minus the home runs. Hits were 1 short for the redbirds...but thats about where it stopped. Stl added 3 in the 9th to make it seem closer.
Hou was down 1 when walter was pulled...then the bullpen decided to give up another 5 runs. These things happen.
