More losers than winners. Seems to be the theme. The red sox were massivly outhit, but had some opportunities late to claw back. Kikuchi pitched great. Dieder didt help the braves at all. Fried pitched well and singer was not awful. Grisham and dominguez each had 4 hit days. Fedde had an awful day and the cubs jumped all over him. Boyd went 6 gave up zero runs and no walks with three strikeouts. Bullpen only gave up 1 hit. Solid stuff. Phillies outhit the astros with an infield single in the first as the winning run. Caratini added a solo shot in the 8th. Wash and san diego was tight with a score on a single in the 2nd for the pads as the lone score.

Lopez had a great outing and flaherty didnt. Lopez has had better recent form than the season numbers depicted. Really close game save a 3 run shot by kurtz. Oak bullpen held on. Miami had the hits it needed and kept battling to the end carding 4 runs in extras. Sfg added one but were still 4 short of getting the dub.

Just a couple played today. Toronto and st. Louis interest me. Torontos price isnt where i need it yet...and cant get a read on what to expect outta imanaga. Pallante has shown good recent form and has limited appearances against these cub batters. Suzuki has good numbers against him on limited plate appearances.

I might go back to the well on oakland, but really would expect more price with them today. Winning yesterday and having a guy who hasnt pitched in the bigs since 2021 are limiting that rise.

Fangraphs should really update Junks picture so it doesnt show him in a brewers hat. Ill continue to look at taking one of the better pitchers in the card at prices like this. While sfg has inproved their lineup with the devers trade, it still hasnt produced an increase in run production. Over time, it should. Left handed bats are birdsongs weakness and while the marlins are expected to have 4 in the lineup (edwards, sanchez, hicks, stowers), righties have still shown the ability to get on base against him with. Birdy also has awful splits the longer he stays in games. Perhaps a NRFI migjt be a good look as well.

Two of the other top pitchers ion the card square off in houston. Should be another low scoring game (like that needed to be said). So i like the plus money here again. Houston looks to be loadimg up the righties against sanchez, which is to his weakness. But his strikeout rate a low whip look about the same from both sides. Nrfi here looks good as well.

Rays look yoo good to be true here, line is lowered a bit for the anti sweep folks but also by baz's recent form. During his last 5 starts (vs det, @nym,@bos, vs tex, @hou) he has averaged a little over 5 inning a game giving up 22 hits and 12 walks allowimg 14 runs with 4 homers. 2 of the 4 homers were at the new trop. Lorenzen over that same span has averaged around 5 innings as well (@ sd,vs oak, @cws,@stl, vs cin). During that span he has given up 28 hits 12 walks which produced 20 runs with 5 homers. 2 of those dingers came from his 2.2 inning effort at stl where he got to watch the game early after giving up 7 runs on 7 hits.
