MDF Game #1 TONIGHT

Detroit -3 (now up to 4)

BAR's GOY (part 3) looks like a MDF play to me.

It was discussed in committee today with no objections.

Anyone have any objections?
 
This is a scenario I was worried about with the MDF....Half of the crew might get burnt on a night with heavy line movement...Easily happens one a week
 
Well I've played the Pistons myself as I agree this is a great spot and they should get it done at -3. That said I don't agree with this being a MDF play. No fing way I'd ever lay 800,000K against the Spurs unless Parker and Duncan and Ginobli were all out and the books didn't know it yet. They're just to damn consistent and prideful to know that you're going to get an easy victory. I think there are better spots, but I'm not president of the million dollar fund. :)
 
So we start with 50 but my question is this. Is this to win 50 or wager 50? I know juice doesn't matter much at 50 dollars but it will once we get further into this. So next wager would either be 105 to win 90 something or 98ish to win 90 something depending on what the first wager here is. Assuming standard -110 juice.

Start with laying the juice until it becomes uncomfortable.

Ahh! You have proposed the right question, and I agree. No way would I lay $800,000 against the Spurs.

Admittedly, I have proposed this play because it's at the $50 level, and I have already wagered a lot more than $50 on it already.
 
I am not involved but I would be with JPicks there were so many better spots recently then this game. Fading the SUNS as DD favs or laying the Spurs yesterday..

There has to be some committee and if this is it then its ride or die....

I will say your of here...as far as "spots"...not many get better than this...seems like some folk are just trying to use the old Spurs mythology to conjur up a sPURS PLAY...GL...IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN

If THIS play isnt going into the MDF fund, you gotta wonder what will. Nothing is 100%, but BAR follows the Pistons closely, and feels very strong about the game. And just looking from the outside, we see 2 teams in different directions heading into the all-star break.
 
Spurs are getting hammered now. Line went up to 4.5 now back down to 3.5 for those interested in getting a decent line on Detroit.
 
-3.5 @ Sportsbook now...went to play it at -4 and it dropped! Gonna wait a few more mins and see if it drops

You're right, BeLieve. That's why we have a committee to make these decisions.

There can be little debate that a $50 game is as big a decision as one of $800,000.

However, we will revisit the question when future games are proposed.
 
Flounder.. Said that wrong bro. I knew there was a committee and if there was no objectiosn then the followers of the MDF fund have to believe in it and ride it. Sorry for the confusion.

BAR..agreed great spot for DET but as far as the line goes there IMO isnt any value. How many times is SA a dog ? So you would think that would have drawn some action but it doesnt seem to. I had this at like -3 so I feel like your paying to fade SA on the last leg . Its not my decision but I thought there was better spots for it. The reality is how can I argue with you when someone as respected as you has it as Game of the year type play?? I cant so why try and really I am not arguing with the play. I wish all you guys GL and getting started on the right foot with this thing. My belief was there was better spots in the NBA the past 3 days. I think I would go Portland before Det but thats me.or Seattle over...no more I am zipping up! GL
