After sleeping on this one I would only play 1 unit on PIT...TImh, I saw those numbers but its hard to think most of those guys are in the lineup today and even if they are the entire play is based on the fact that the Cubs won't play like themselves...I have made a few calls and from what I heard there were no delays or hiccups in their travel plans, the players arrived and checked in sometime between 5am and 6am...A little nervous as the past history in these situations is not as good as I first figured...in the last 8 years road teams playing in a Monday day game who played in the Sunday night game are 5-0...those of you who have followed me over the years have never heard me use the term gut play but if there ever was one this is it...While watching the game last night and its methodical pace early and using the experience I have in this field my gut says the Cubs are up against it today from a mental standpoint...no real stats to back that up just years of working in situations like the one the Cubs are in today...its a tough spot to focus and perform...At least I know what game I will be watching on this fine Memorial Day...I hope everyone enjoys the day with their families and/or watching baseball, don't forget how fortunate we are as Americans to have days like today to enjoy...with me or against me, gl today men
