Little late...After 6 weeks..What have we learned??

But, you absolutely right.

I looked at some futures for that conference the other day and stopped myself after 20 minutes and said 'don't do it'...

ASU would be worth a stab... but who knows.

There is some amazingly bad QB play out there right now that is really holding some otherwise decent teams back ....

SDSU - Agnew is not worthless .. because that would imply he isn't a negative
Temple - Russo a trainwreck, though maybe off his best game
Miami Florida - Which bad QB do you want to play?
Michigan - I admit it ... I was wrong .. Patterson just cannot succeed in this offense for whatever reason. He holds them back quite often though he has help. He used to make special plays .. he never does that anymore.
Memphis - Brady White should legally change his name to Betty White. Team would be quite decent with a real qb (note Russo and White play one another this week which will tempt me into an under even when the number is fair cause how could they both have good games vs ok defenses?)
Notre Dame - Ian Book is just awful. They have to run specific type of plays for him. ND with a real QB .. like almost all the ones they have had prior to him, would be so much better. he is also not clutch. very not clutch.
Arizona - Just wow at how bad Tate is.
Boise State - Bachmeier will develop but right now he misses way too many throws .. a lot of them are caught but don't allow for advancement due to placement
Nebraska - Martinez ... .I used to give him a pass but we know this is a QB friendly system Frost runs and he is just miserable when he is using his arm and not his legs.

Russo...brutal. I'll comment on Shea in other thread but yeah...he's mentally done. AM is definitely a dissapointment.

I guess the way I phrased that maybe Tate doesn't qualify for the list. But make no mistake, he sucks.

Yea what’s up with Martinez? When cub mentioned him and Tommy( one of my favorite players in CFB EVER) in the same sentence I was like huh?

It can’t be said enough talking QB play. What the LSU transfer is doing with Fritz is phenomenal

Did anyone catch the ending to the A.F./Navy game? Fans stormed the field and refs called the game....clearly Falcon's player was downed, before the scoop and TD.

What about the Tulsa at +1200 ML....dominating the whole game. SMU forces OT and Tulsa missed 3 FG in 3OT....brutal.

UNLV +24.5...lost by 25, BSU 38-13 final. BSU onside kick recovers and runs it down to the 6-yard line. With 1:50 left, instead of victory formation, they score to make the cover.....butal!

Really at the Boise game? I hate those gimmicky assholes. If there was 1:50 left in the 3rd I'd give them a pass but that's bush league.

Did not know about Navy game. Yes, huge mooses on ML and spread with the last two.

The A.F./Navy game is a huge moose...if you played the "NO - Special Teams & Defensive TD"

Tulane ended Army’s 15 game home winning streak . Tulane moved to 4-1 for the first time since 1998 (second time since 1979).

Maryland – Rutgers game had 2 FGs blk’d and another missed along with an xpt blk (if you had the total).

Kansas led 7-0, but OU would score 42 straight. During that run, OU did have a 1st and goal at the K07, but would eventually have to punt (penalty, sack, reverse-ad-lib pitch 20y loss, penalty, punt). 145 of KU’s yards came on their final 2 drives.

Iowa State led as much as 28-3. ISU did outgain TCU by 100 yards, but TCU fumbled twice leading to a 1y return for D TD and 4p 18y drive for another comprising 14 ISU pts in the 49-24 win.

Oklahoma St RB Hubbard seemed to average 7 ypc on non-redzone rushes in the first half, yet he only had 17 carries at HT I believe. They should've given him 25 carries in the half. Rough day for Sanders, he was sacked 7x, threw 3 INTs and lost 2 fumbles. That was Texas Tech's first home win vs a ranked team since 2013! Duffey passed for 424.

Texas led 21-14 HT, then turnovers set up short fields for both teams. Texas fumbled led to a 4p 2y "drive" for WVU FG, then WVU threw INTs on back-to-back possessions and Tex turned those into TDs off just 51y of O and led 35-17. WVU scored, then Texas recovered onside kick and would get a third short field TD - 42-24. WVU would convert 4th down twice on their way to a TD with just :47 left - 42-31 F. WVU D did have 4 sacks (Darius Stills 3 TFL). Texas rushed for 216 (4.4) to WVU’s 96 (4.2). Kendall threw 4 INTs.

Northern Illinois led 14-0 with one TD set up by INT (3p 24y) and a 10p 77y drive. After early struggles, Ball St started moving it 14p 70y for 23y FG, missed a 51y FG, then fumbled at the N23 after a long drive. 17-3 HT. There was heavy rain in the 2nd H greatly impacting NIU who had under 40y on their first 6 2nd H possessions with fumbles on back-to-back drives and an INT. Ball St seemed to thrive off it with short field scoring opportunities (13 pts off just 21 yards of O) and even made 2 FGs in very challenging conditions. Ball St outrushed them 235 (3.9) to 147 (4.7). NIU did outgain them 388-269 (5.2-3.6). NIU lost 3 TOs, Ball St lost 2 TOs. Plitt was just 4-14-34-0-1. Huntley 35att-157-2TD. Bowers 21-43-241-0-1. Harbison 22att-148-2TD.

Central Michigan ran for 308 (6.8) to E Mich’s 63 (2.3) yards! TY were 587-285 (8.5-4.3). CM D got 5 sacks! Teams combined for just 7-of-24 on 3rd down. CM led by as much as 28-3, 42-16 F.

Purdue gained a total of 9 yards on their first 5 possessions while Penn State scored on first 4 possessions and it was 28-0 just a few seconds into the 2nd Q. I was actually surprised Franklin didn't call timeout at the end of the 1st Q so he could get 28 in the opening qrt. PSU threw an INT and PU got a TD, then PSU missed 35y FG and fumbled to close the half. 28-7. PSU didn’t threaten until mid 4th Q with a 7p 87y TD drive, then they fumbled at P35 (3rd turnover lost on the day). PU didn’t run a play in PSU territory in the 2nd H until they recovered that fumble and drove to the 48 before fumbling. FD were 24-8, RY were 196-(-19) and TY were 460-104 (6.1-1.9). PSU got 10 sacks (Shaka-3, Gross-Matos-2)! PSU 8-of-15 3rd down, PU was 1-of-14. Clifford 20-29-264-3-1. Plummer 13-27-119-1-0.

Michigan’s TD drive was 6p 70y (51y completion), their other 7 possessions of the 1st H generated only 104 yards. Mich had a FG set up by a fumble (4p 8y drive) and then would miss a 58y and 34y FGs. FGA miss drives were 6p 56y and 10p 64y. Iowa didn’t cross midfield until their 4th drive of the game, getting all the way to M04 (had 1st and goal at M10), but had to settle for 18y FG. Iowa’s next two drives would get as far as the M30 (eventual punt) and M33 (INT). Iowa would continue to get into medium Mich territory in the 2nd H, to the M36 (INT), M35 (eventual punt), M25 (penalties on Iowa 4 of next 5 plays, eventual sack and punt), M44 (3 straight incompletions, before SOD with :37 left). TY for Mich were 267-261 (4.5-3.6) with a 120-1 RY edge (3.6-0.0). Mich D 8 sacks for 65y and 6 more recorded hurries! (Iowa got 2 sacks). Iowa was 6-of-17 3rd down, Mich just 3-of-13. Patterson 14-26-147-0-1. Stanley 23-42-260-0-3.

Marshall had 578 yards, (7.0y per play) but only 13 points due to 4 TOs (at their own 24 and at the MT 39, 48 and 13 yard lines) and 3 SOD (at the 07, 24 and 22 yard lines). There were four Marshall 2nd H drives over 50 yards and none ended in points.

Toledo led 14-0 and 24-7 HT as the WM O struggled outside of one drive. Toledo only gained 15y on their first 3 poss of the 2nd H while WM was SOD at T27, 7p 75y TD, 10p 26y FG…to make it 24-17 before Tol responded 13p 74y…31-17. WM got a 39y TD run mid 4th Q. After a punt WM would drive to the T10 with a 1st down, but were incomplete, sack, incomplete and 20y loss on 4th down. TY were 475-420 (6.3-5.2) for Tol with a 275-117 (5.2-4.0) RY edge.

Ohio and Buffalo would see just 5 total 1st H possessions and a 7-0 UB lead. UB missed a FG to open the game and fumbled at O22. Ohio was SOD at B04, threw INT at B09, fumbled at their own 34 (which led to a 14-7 UB lead at the time). Tied 14-14, OU missed a 52y FG off the crossbar, UB missed a 46y FG. In OT, UB scored first, but missed xpt, OU won 21-20.

Navy was 4-of-4 TDs in the RZ, AF on the other hand was 2 FGs and 2 TDs on their 4 RZ tries. Navy led 21-9, but AF came back to take a 25-21 lead 3min left. Navy faced a 2nd-and-20, but connected on a 32y pass and would take the lead 28-25 with just :23 left. AF deep in their own territory lateraled the ball back as time expired and was tackled, but the ground caused a fumble which was ret'd for a TD in the 34-25 F. Navy had a 376-354 (6.5-5.0) TY edge including a 214-108 RY edge (4.3-2.4) for the Mids.

Miami hit a time-expiring 38y hail mary to end the half 28-7. Williams was benched after 3 series in the 1st Q. Miami scored 4 2nd H TDs and tied 35-35 on a Dallas 62y run. Canes had previously got a 2pt conversion, but missed this xpt so the game was tied. VT went 5p 63y scoring go-ahead TD with 1min left. Miami got down to the V10, but 2 shots at the EZ were incomplete. With all the TOs and short fields, UM had a 563-337 (7.2-5.3) TY edge. VT D got 7 sacks (UM 2). Perry 28-47-422-4-1. Liberty led 10-0 HT, but New Mexico St would tie 13-13 4th qrt. Liberty went up 20-13, then NMSt was inside the L10 when Aggie QB was stripped and Liberty came up with the game (and cover) saving turnover. It was the 3rd TO NMSt lost on the night. New Mexico St had a 396-334 TY edge (6.1-4.8). Each team had 4 sacks and they combined for just 7-of-23 3rd down.
