Lakers and the OVER

revenge hasnt been the foremost motivational factor for San Antonio this season, I think they're just gonna lie back and wait for the post season. LA's had some success against the Spurs this year and they are coming off a tough loss to swallow against the Bobcats in OT the night before last...total looks to be spot on the numbers (these days that's al you need to love the over)...Should stay competitive throughout, soo that could push the total late in the game...and I doubt there's gonna be the need for 20+ in the last few...both plays look solid, but both plays are small...I don't like betting against the Spurs or their defense...any game they decide to give a shit they can come out the box and win a 90-70 contest...EVEN on the road, EVEN against LA...but the Lakers are the ones who are really motivated for the win IMO and the numbers support a small play on the OVER.

LA +3.5 (220 to win 200)
LA/San Antonio OVER 197 (330 to win 300)

...more to come later

I'm a huge Spurs fan since 1995, back from the days of the Admiral, Avery, Elliott, Del *****, etc, and I know my team. You definitely have a point with them waiting for the post-season remark. This team that is. I wouldn't say that they're reluctant to play, but this team has been together for ages now, they won 2 titles (some members even won 3, namely Tim), it's not that they're not hungry any more, but they're timing their strength for the post season. They are playing solid hoops, nothing spectacular so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go on a rampage just before the playoffs, and with that momentum enter the post season.

I still haven't checked the factors for this game, so I won't tell you I agree on the bet, I just had to say I agree with your remark. I'll be back later with picks. Cheers.

With all due respect that's a strange comment. Waiting for the post. I guess you can wait while your numbers slide then you'll be waiting for nothing. Not sure how to read that. I know NBA players and they don't think like that. These motivational reads are amusing.

But I agree the LAL were humiliated on their home court with the pussycats. They had issues that night. Walton fell out. Odom not back full strength. Kobe was locked down. I think they're hungry for a win but I believe the Spurs are too. I think most teams who are in the playoff envelope are hungry to keep adding numbers to the win column. Teams like the Spurs don't come to L.A., hit the Sky Bar late at night then watch TV with hookers till game time thinking this one can cruise.

Inclined to go with your o number. I think both teams over produce. Too close to call whether it will be SAS or LAL. Thanks! and GL

Sas wins, it goes over.

Lal wins, it goes under.

I had Chi-3.5 1h yesterday, but bet on the Heat+6.5 fh

Damn i am a degenerate :(

I agree with the picks Billivy. I am Spurs fan also back when Elliott was drafted by them. They are going to be just fine come post-season. They IMO are working on that second unit and how they want to put this team together for a post-season run. I am not a fan of Udrih and believe they would be better off with Vaughn being their backup PG. This game today features a huge mismatch with Odom. He is too versatile for any of the Spurs and Bowen will be with Kobe. Just see a close game all game and the over hitting nicely. Somewhere around 102-98, 100-97 type game with a LAL win. I never wish against my team but oh well.

Gotta say I wasn't aiming at that. There are no unmotivated teams in the NBA, or any professional (US) sport for that matter. You don't have to explain that to me, and I wasn't aiming at that at all. It's just that Spurs seem to be saving their TOP PLAY for later on, to say that they're unmotivated or not fired up enough doesn't do the trick. It's more in the finesse, a SMALL CLICK in their heads, not their complete outlook on the season.
Lakers beat them TWICE this season already, I don't know what to think now, it can mean that Spurs finally take the W from the Zen Master 'an_horse' but as I said, I still have to research the play more. I tend to agree on your (and bilivy's) over play, and with everyone on the Lakeshow I kinda dislike the play now. Still thinking it over.

P.S. Is that croatian flag on your avatar coincidental or ? I'm croatian, hence my interest :D.

Billy I agree revenge hasnt been the Spurs fortay this season and that they are looking ahead to the playoffs because they are not gonna get into a chase with mavs and suns for the 1 spot but with this being the start to an 8 game road trip and a national tv game ,I think the spurs will look to start the trip stong. This is were teams like to gel and become a tight group on the long road trips. I think they will be motivated for this one. Gl with the over:shake:

Nice job yesterday:cheers:

not to sound conceded...but i am the foremost expert on the spurs in this forum...

believe me, i am 100% obsessed with them...like Big Al with his Pistons and Killa and his Knicks...I know this team better than any other I study and I tend to have a better feel for the mindsets of these players than most...and it is not a coincidence that if the spurs were to play Dallas right now in an inconsequential 7 game series (regular season wins only)..that they would no doubt lose in 5 or 6 games...however they compete with any team, on any court in the post season...Tim Duncan's numbers go from about 20-10 to 30-15...the effort and quality of game from ALL players is turned up about 20 notches...and this is not the case with EVERY team in the NBA...however the Spurs have been there soo many times, they are unmotivated by 1 game out of 82

oo and i cant spell...

killa how do you spell conceited...conceded....whatever

I switched sides Bilivy(t or not :D) so I'm on the Spurs now. A rare spot for me, to be switching sides from my initial lean, but I think they're worth it at this point. Writeup in the other thread. GL man

I've been a fan of the Spurs since the 70's......back before the days of the Ice Man.....and I say FUCK THE LAKERS !!!!!!
HA HA !!!!

Not bashing your play here Bill, as you are one of the NBA cappers i always check my plays with.........(respect)
just a big Homer if ya know what I mean:shake:

I do like the OVER though....and don't be surprised to see a lil' revenge.

Not a good 1st half for the over, I hope the Lakers hold tight (I have been moosed in such situations countless times before).

I have bad luck like BDK, I mean this happened like 5 times for me in the season so far, and I don't play that much NBA. Never happened in my favour once. Go Lakers.

one never looked good and one never looked bad...and both could have gone the either way...lol
