Last night my book had Wake/BC U47 so I took that for 3U. I was assuming that was a mispost and would get pulled off the board as I saw other books with it at 42.5 at the same time. My book has since dropped to 45 so I assume that is just how they lined it. Seems to be some disagreement among the books which can be a treacherous thing to bet on.

As for the Gamecocks:

I will take some action on +3. The fade is definitely incoming for the Gamecocks, and if you are on the train already I do not begrudge you for thinking it. That game with NCSt will definitely be filed under the misleading stats category, and that is understandable but I think Muschamp started to pucker up in the fourth when he was leading by two scores. That followed by a Bentley INT late in the game had us with very little production shown in the second half. Gamecocks are now 17-1 on season opener despite venue and Cocks found a way to get it done again in Charlotte against a team that on paper should have killed them. The defense was visibly better than expected and the OLine was also much better than anticipated. The TE have worked hard on blocking abilities as Hayden Hurst was hardly a target in the game. Deebo Samuels was the highlight on offense and looks to be shaping up for another good year. The running game was a bit lack luster but they were facing that NCSt front line.

Against Mizzou I am sure there will be hundreds of plays from scrimmage and later in the game Gamecocks defense is going to be paper thin. I am on the +3 for now and will see where the total settles out before game time.

2U Iowa -2.5

I feel like i bet this game every year and this year is no exception. There is some inexperience on the side of Iowa that may catch up with them in this game. I think Iowa will win the west if they can make it through a few tough games. But, as my buddy loves to say, especially when betting on Iowa St and drunk, "You don't just walk into Jack Tryce and expect a victory!"

Got to be one of the bigger over reaction lines on the board. I usually don't like betting service academy teams unless it is two of them playing each other, but this one seemed sure to come down.
