Just saw an interview with Darren McFadden

Is this guy as humble as he seems? He came off like, I don't know, maybe the nicest football player I've ever seen. He was sort of funny, sort of self-effacing, and very humble.

I was really impressed.

I just don't know a lot about him other than what he does on the field.

What's the story?

Just stay the hell out of the NFC North and I would like him even more. But he does seem like a great dude

McFadden is a humble person, always has been in the years I've seen him during interviews and conferences. Every coach has had nothing but positive things to say about him, his teammates like him, and he is extremely talented. I can see Jerry Jones pulling every string to get him in Dallas.

Why with Marion Barber and the chance to re-sign Julius Jones would Dallas want to mortgage all their draft picks for McFadden, don't they have other needs to address? Barber looks to me to be an excellent back & would only thrive in as the primary back in that offense.

Yeah I think Marion Barber is one of the top backs in the NFL, see no reason for Darren McFadden there...

as for the nicest guy in the NFL, LDT sure was impressive last night on 60 minutes...

I can't see away that guy falls below number five. With that in mind I can't see any way the Cowboys could get him without going the Herschel Walker/Ricky Williams route of something stupid on draft day. They'd be much better served filling other holes anyway.

In some ways they're in a much better position with picks in the high 20s because the guys won't cost as much and they'll be able to fill multiple holes with top talent. That's the reason the Pats have stayed so good, they've used those high 20s picks to stay really deep. Dallas would be smart to emulate that.

I agree but with his somewhat childish antics on the sidelines this year most notably against the Titans this past sunday starts tarnishing that image imo.

Does NE trade what is looking like right now the 2nd pick in the draft and move down for multiple picks in the first 2 rounds?

i've read some good stories about mcfadden and felix jones. they both seem to be smart, humble, and very generous. i think they do a lot of charity type stuff. very classy guys from what little i know.

possibly. I think they thought they'd get a 6-12 type of pick when they got the niners pick. I assume they are looking to get multiple defensive players to fill in the for the old guys at LB and SS. I could see them trading down.

I think Barber is an excellent RB as well. With that being said, I do not know why they would resign Julius Jones. Do they not think Barber can handle the full time load? I think he is more than capable. My comment about Jerry Jones getting McFadden was a future possiblilty, not necessarily this year's draft. But I can see a few years down the line, Jones going after McFadden if he makes a splash when entering the NFL.
