Houston Big Trade -- Durant for Jalen Green

I think Suns did great on this trade based on situation. Green disappeared in playoffs but star potential is there. He's only 23. No one knew SGA would become what he has. Pretty obvious Rockets intend to resign Van Fleet. Little worried Houston loses some toughness with Brooks. Right now my gut says Phoenix did real well here. Houston needs to win championship to justify this imo

Agree on this as my first take

This was Jalen Green‘s first ever postseason. I don’t know why one wouldn’t almost assume that he‘ll grow and become the stud in the postseason that he is during the regular season. There‘s so much championship potential with him for so long, whereas Durant is getting very old

I don't know what happens to Beal but considering every outlet here says he'll never play another game in a Suns uniform again means the organization can't even play him if no one wants him. So it's Booker/Green and whatever that thug Brooks brings. I do like Dunn at least but it's really going to be a toss of a season. That was a given. Hopefully this 10th pick is worth something. But a completely hamstrung season due to the Beal deal. Poet and know it.

Dumb question

How does this make Houston a title contender?

Brooks is a huge loss
Green was huge during regular season

I’m sorry this isn’t a title team Escp in west

Vanvleet
Amen Thompson
Durant
Jabari smith
Segun
I understand this for sure...

KD healthy is a better alternative in the playoffs right now than Jalen Green.

That's a big if, though.

FVV struggles cannot be ignored.

Amen is a star that's rising fast.

Seguin us outstanding.

Jabari? Eh.

Their current conference is also an issue.

Mates we got 5 second round pics that no fan even knows we traded away

Amen there is no ceiling and Seguin is awesome. Rockets keep most of their future picks.

Good trade for both.

For me it's simple. Houston isn't better than Minny and OKC after this trade and Clips, Lakers, Denver & Memphis (if healthy) can make moves and improve. After this season, KD will be one year older and Green should improve - so it should be a move to win now and I don't see it. Maybe Houston has more moves to make...

I know Brooks is not All NBA but he's all star caliber and just tough nosed. If he hadn't been included I'd like much better for Houston. I agree in looking at that starting 5 they r not winning West imo.

Because KD is still one of the best pure scorers in the league, still putting up elite shooting percentages. Green was benched at times in the playoffs...he was a liability on both sides of the ball. You didn't mention Whitmore, Shepard, Eason who all have intriguing upside in reserve roles. If Amen takes another step this year, they will be title contender without question. Think the trade made a lot of sense for both teams

Better than Minny
