zero props up at 5dimes about this fight. love shumenov and his story, but i can't ignore the fact that hopkins owns 5% of GBP or something crazy like that and shumenov getting a fair shake from the judges would be surprising. don't think shumenov can KO hopkins, so i might be laying off this one.

Obviously, i like kid chocolate. leaning paulie right now, but not quite sure.

but i did see this: [TABLE="class: lines"]

I grabbed Hopkins at -190 for 1u. I've never rated Shumenov very highly. I don't think he'll have to worry about getting a fair shake, because even at 49, I think Hopkins is just too good. Another case of people thinking this is the fight Hopkins acts his age. I'll start betting against this guy when he gives me a reason to, lol. Until then, I'm on board.

If the Shawn Porter that put a whipping on Alexander shows up, I would be absolutely STUNNED if Paulie were to win. I'm a Malignaggi fan. I've always been. Guy was blessed with one of the strongest boxing minds I've ever seen. And one of the weakest punches, lol. He beats a lot of guys because he's a smart fighter, and usually has a very good gameplan. But I think he's going to find himself in a somewhat similar situation as the Hatton fight. Where a bigger, stronger guy just bullies him because he doesn't respect his power. Porter fought at 154 for a while, and is quite strong at 147. I think Porter wins a clear decision.

I got Mayweather by decision at -188 for a unit. Same shit that always happens. People start thinking "this is the fight where he gets a KO". Then he wins another dominating decision. Until he starts knocking guys out, I'll keep biting on that decision prop.

Pretty much agree with jab on the Alien fight(we are agreeing way too much lately pal lol).....I look at Beibut, and the only real fight I see him in is vs Campillo....I think B-Hop is better than Campillo by a shit ton. To me that B-Hop line looks extremely low...owner of GB be damned, he is a world class HOF fighter and one of the best of all time....B-Hop will have bad match ups, but you can spot em a mile away....this aint one. I guess I better get the line now...one thing I cant read is line moves when they involve fighters from Khazakastan and Alien, so I would be pen to listen to anyone that thinks they know where this goes...

Again....Agree 100% on the Paulie take...all of it...part of me may throw a bet on Magic, but just to know that I am likely to lose.....not sure there yet

great point about porter being the bigger dude. i've always like and respected what paulie has done in the square circle for the exact same reasons you laid out, jab, and betting on a smart mind vs a somewhat unreliable boxer made sense to me. but you and twink have talked me out of it for the most part.

i'm still having trouble with shumenov, i don't think this is a big of a mis-match as ya'll do. i think b-hop is a god in the ring for what he's done, but he's also a bully. i don't think shumenov is gonna have the trouble that others have had when it comes to getting out of the way of the body slams and hugs b-hop has employed in the past.

i'm probably gonna lay off on b-hop unless the line just moves a crazy amount towards me, but we'll see. and as far as shumenov not fighting anyone, i agree--but the dude never even had a trainer or promoter before. he just comes in there and gets shit done, that's crazy.

I think Hopkins is Hopkins and takes control of the fight on his way to a UD.

Porter-Paulie is a great fight imo, and is a legit 50-50 fight. I lean Porter slightly in this, but I am heavily in the magic man's corner as he is one of my favs, always has been. IF the Porter that beat Devon shows up I could see him bullying Paulie around a bit, but I think Paulie will box effectively and control the pace for the majority of the fight. This one is super close, but I do know one thing this is going over for sure.

LOL, I'd rather be with ya than against ya, Twinkie.

Jesus....did I just see Sadam Ali on the fucking SHowtime card?

did he finally sign with someone? fight someone Gary Russell III

Got a live underdog tomorrow on FNF's. Raymond Gatica +335 vs. Brandon Adams. Adams appears solid, but not -500 solid. Gatica is a southpaw, slick in his own right, has the better resume, and arguably beat Fernando Guerrero (but lost on the cards).

I'm on it for 1u. I think he can get it done.

GL

No play for me on Friday, but will watch Show and Espn

hope you cash brother

Meh, he couldn't handle it. Lost a SD, thought I thought Adams clearly won. For only 6 amateur fights, Adams appears to really have the goods.

that would be at least a live human...nice

what about Sadam "what the fuck am i doing : Ali?

Golden boy won the purse bid yesterday. Looks like the fight should happen.

As for today, gotta stick and move mother fuckers, Paulie's taking that belt today!

Twinkie Boxing Plays

The Alien -220.../ 3 units

If B-Hop is gonna lose, it ain't to this guy in my estimation....really really hate laying this kind of juice for a bet like this, but gotta do what I know....

straight value play on the better "boxer"...if Paulie is on, and rides that bike right who knows

GL guys, I'll be here and there tonight

My Pops is coming over tonight to watch the card with me.....always special, so I cannot have my face on the laptop. But Ill be around....

My father has been amassing a serious boxing collection of gloves. robes, etc....

I am gonna try and get some good pics and load em up.....Many of you all would enjoy......His favorite fighter is Duran(mine too, wonder why LOL?) and he has a ton of shit from him

My 2 faves that I saw recently:

Nate Campbell ring worn shoes from his Fight against Diaz...signed and stated "These are the shoes that took Diaz to hell!!!!".....pretty awesome

Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley robe for a ring walk(fight escapes me).....back of the robe says:

Free Ass Whoopings

Take As Many As You Like

fucking awesome

whoa

I just fell asleep.....is Kid Choc still fighting this can?

I saw on twitter and I agree:

Which pretty nice fighter has suffered the most thus far in the Cold War?

Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin is the answer

sucks....tons of fights Id like to see him in that aint gonna happen

Gotta create some steam for that fight, it would sell about 5 PPVs right now. Marketing machine forthcoming..
