Aldon Smith out, Patrick Willis and Asomugua doubtful that right there makes this defense a notch or two lower. Its not like this defense has been any good anyway, they have given up 28, 29 and 27 in their 3 games. Teams have been running all over them, the once vaulted defense is that no more.
As you see the 49ers aren't only depleted on defense they have key players hurt as well. Vernon Davis is questionable and even if he does play will be far from 100%. WRs Crabtree, Manningham and Kyle Williams all out. This is not the same team as last year, the name of the team is the same but the talent on the field, NO!
The blueprint on Kaep is known and the first person to figure it out was Jeff Fisher, Kaep played great last season but in two games vs the Rams last season? Not so much.
Rams didn't lose to the 49ers last season, both games went to O.T with the first game ending in a tie and the second one ending in a Rams victory.
Lets look at Kaep's stats last two games:
13-27 150yds 0td 1int 49 QB rating
13-28 127yds 0td 3int 20 QB rating
I'm not sure a short week will fix this either. advantage RAMS! Fisher will have an amazing gameplan to limit Kaep.
Bradford is playing better than many are giving him credit for.
88.4 QB rating, 6 TDs 2 INTs. Most know that Bradford plays better @ home as well
I believe the Rams are much better than last weeks performance vs the Boys on the road. The game got out of hand quick, they played ATL close in week 2 and beat AZ in week 1, this is not a bad team and these teams know each other very well and are familar with one another. I always like to get points in a division game.
The Rams +3 is a very solid investment. You are getting 3 points, home field and you are going against a battered team with a QB who isn't confident. Fisher will keep this game close, he did in both games last year and there is no reason he can't in this one.
