Going to Vegas next week, need help finding win totals and conference odds

s--k

Goodbye to Romance College Football
Hello all.

Next week when I hit town, I will be looking for Vegas sportsbooks that have the best selection of power 5 conference and mid major team win totals. Not just teams like Ohio St or Alabama, but the likes of Kentucky and Indiana and teams from the MAC.

Also, does anyone post odds for division and conference champions? Conference champ odds are fairly common to find I assume, divisional odds perhaps not so much.

I don't have any online accounts for wagers.

Thanks.

Scott

I've always been a fan of the LVSuperbook at the old Hilton/Westgate/LVH/whatever it is this month(Haven't been out there since 2010). Evidently they're going through or have just finished up remodeling the place. I'm sure a Vegas resident could give you more info.

You won't find win totals for MAC teams anywhere, but most places have conference odds and win totals for P5 teams. Obviously be sure to go out of your way and pay for a cab to visit the best book in the world out at Westgate, and if they don't have everything you're looking for, check CGT books at Venetian/Cosmo/Trop, MGM books at MGM/Mirage/Aria/Bellagio/Mandalay, Caesars books at Caesars/Planet Hollywood/Harrah's/Bally's, and the Wynn.

Sorry to ask here, but I am going to palazzo soon and want to try to CGT betting. Is it good? Any downside? Can I simply open an account at the book, download the app, and fund it with a credit card? Then, just sit in the book or wherever I am and bet from my phone? Any info is much appreciated. Thx.

Thanks, I had received a previous tip to check out the Hilton which I am familiar with having stayed there for business in the late 1990s (SEMA convention). Also VK thought maybe Cantor and Will Hill were potential spots for harder to find numbers.

I will definitely go to Westgate and check it out.

We are getting in early Wednesday so I have 1.5 days to get any cfb futures in before the first kick.

Staying at the Mirage. In my previous stays there (last time in Vegas was 2001), they had that large area dedicated for horses only and then football had the smaller area which was about 1/4 of the overall book. I read they remodeled and hope they now utilize some of the previously reserved horse area on busy football days?

So thanks. Any first hand knowledge of where to find the less popular or harder to locate totals is appreciated. That tends to be where I have more success.

5 cent machines at a strip casino worth about $50-$65 an hour if you get bored. PM me if you are interested

Cantor has certainly posted season win totals for all Power 5 teams the past few years.

Good luck,
Paul

Yeah it's pretty simple, although you have to deposit with cash, not a credit card. Only downside right now is no live betting, but everything else should be good.

Mirage book is great now. Good seating areas and the TV screens are much improved.

Well, shit. I read some press release that said cards were accepted. Thanks.

yes, very easy to set up. Went during March Madness and man, it sure saves time standing in those lines. End of the day, you can just go to a separate cage and cash out.
Just set up and deposit cash, no credit cards, come on, you know gambling doesn't accept credit cards

Definitely recommended!

Another question.

When you say Caesars books - Caesars/Planet Hollywood/Harrah's/Bally's or CGT books - Venetian/Cosmo/Trop

Would all the sportsbooks operated by one company have the same point spreads and odds at all of their books?

Is Cantor an owner/operator or is there an actual Casino named Cantor?

It's been a while since I've been in town.

Just curious, do you know for a fact this is the go-to place for all props and futures, or just an assumption based on their odds being painted all over ESPN and what's said in forums?

Fact...I went there for March Madness and was just there a couple of weeks ago betting futures.... You will not find Hiesman or anything like that there because you cant bet on something that is voted on.

Yes, all books operated by one company have the same odds at each of their books.

Cantor isn't a casino, they're a separate entity that rents out space in casinos and has eight books of their own in town.

Cool. I have no beef with Westgate, certainly think they're one of the better books in town and I do believe they offer a better hold percentage than just about anywhere on futures, but it's a little tiresome constantly hearing about how they're supposedly the best book in town by a wide margin.

I like them because they offer live betting...more betting windows... One downside is that they are currently under construction in the Sports Book right now....

Update for future reference, each book only offers around 30-40 ncaa team totals. That includes Westgate and Cantor books. Selection at the MGM and Caesars books did not offer what I wanted. The Cosmo Cantor book had many of the fringe bowl teams I was looking for at 5.5 wins, so that worked out, but no competition to compare price against. Westgate didn't have anything better or greater than the MGM/Caesars books. The William Hill book at the Westin didn't have a college sheet out, the guy had to call someone to see if there was one, which he printed. They did have TCU at 10.5 where everyone else was at 10, but that was the only difference I noticed from the MGM/Mirage/Westgate places.

Only place I haven't been that might have a different selection is the Wynn.

Nobody has odds to win the various ncaa divisions, conference yes, divisions no.

Westgate did have Game of Year lines that I didn't see anyone else offer.
