Ohio State -8 (-120) over Notre Dame. 20 units.
Both teams got here on opponent mistakes.
Penn State had the game won - except for a defensive DB falling down,, while PSU was up 24-17 late in the 4th with 4.38 on the clock. Otherwise ND punts. .
It allowed ND the "gifted TD" on that play for 54 yds which tied the game late.
The game was tied at 10-10 until the 4th QTR. Both teams scored TD's and ND won on a FG in the 4th.
Important now to note that ND was not scoring vs Bowlers at all when compared to Playoff teams and the regular season.
ND offense is averaging 2 full TD's per game LESS, than during the season/ Thats why they are a 8-9 pt dog tonight.
Ohio State was also likely in trouble vs Texas, as the Horns were at first and goal down 21-14 looking to tie the game, until Texas QB Ewers got hit and fumbled and OSU picked up the fumble and ran it all the way back for a TD to ice the game.
The Texas defense is far better than what ND has today.
In addition, The PSU defense is not as good as Ohio State's is. The OSU defense will be much harder on ND than what PSU was.
To give a perspective on the better defenses, OSU was outstanding all year and out yarded every opponet. There was only one game where OSU was out-gained - and that was the first Oregon game at Oregon - which tOSU made up for in a big way in the rematch.
ND was out gianed in two of the three pplayoof games to get here.??/ Keep that in mind, especially when all three opponents for ND were much weaker that who Ohio State faced to get here.
ND did not face higher level opponents, like what OSU faced during the season.
The Bickeyes haven't faded at all. In fact they beat the three prior ranked bowlers by an averg of 37-17. Which is best of all playoff teams.
ND 's last three games in scoring vs Bowlers and playoffs were only 25-17. Much lower than Ohio States dominating nmbers.

In addition, lets not forget thet Georgia lost to ND because Beck was out, along with 80 percnet of the starting Offensive line which completely gave Georgia a huge disadvanrtage.
It also made Notre Dame falsely appear to be more powerful that who they really are.
Thee Buckeye Blitz was crucial in the win over Texas. They sacked Ewers 4 times.
PSU sacked Leonard five (5) times - so that will be what OSU will be doing rushing the passer tonight.
