G-Man
Pretty much a regular
BowlsThru Jan 9th. Bowls Overall. 27-19. +11,430.00
Two dynamite offenses.
Teams schedules are important for this game.
Bet no one noticed - but Indiana never played a ranked team until the playoff game with #3 ranked Ohio State. They then played #11 Alabama and finally #5 Oregon.
They also shut down every team to UNDER 20* points. *Because Oregon was gifted the late TD with only 22 seconds left in the game, when the game was already over beating the Ducks, 56-22.
More important is that INDY out gained the three teams combined by 200 total yards. OSU by 13yds, Alabama by 206 yds and minus -16 yds to the Ducks. But yads per play, Indiana out gained all three teams.
Miami was out gained Ohio State, by 332-293, by Tex AM 328-278, and outgained Ole Miss 459-398.
Take note here that Miami only played one game to their season average on offense. They put up 31 on Ole Miss. But allowed 27 which was much more than their season avg. of 14 points.
The fact that Indiana held all the teams to under 20pts puts the advantage towards Indiana.
Indiana also holds the edge in Rush defense. Miami needs to run the ball or they wont score much.
Indiana held Ohio State to 58, Bama yo 23 amd Oregon to 98.
Both QB'sare great and Becks QB rating is 159 while Mendoza is 189.
Frankly there isnt one key stat that Miami has which is better than Indiana.
They know it and so does Imdiana
Last year Ohio State was an 8pt favorite against Notre Dame. but there was no Hiesman QB on the field.
Mendoza will do what ever he wants tonight.
Beck will do ONLY what Indiana lets him do.
Indiana -7.5 over Miami. 10 units
