Congrats on Tuesday, keep up the great work. OPS (on base plus slugging) is at a league low (Below .700 which is considered about avg) league wide, 2nd lowest at this point in season since 2000. Heard it being discussed on the Braves broadcast and a few others. Seems to def be a dead ball and MLB league office is apparently discussing it and trying to figure out why. A lot of balls that would have been homers last year are just fly balls as many others noted. Maybe someone messed with the humidors HAHA!
 
This happened a lot last year. Thats why I posted the remark earlier in this thread.

Its real obvious.

They know how the balls are being made at different times.

I suspect the threads are tighter which also reduces the spin-rate. It thins out the hump of the winding which makes the ball carrie.


But the core is wound softer..when its a dead ball.
