Looking at the 123 ranked defense statistically allowing an average of 36 pts per game over all - BUT more importantly a 48 pt avg vs conference opponents.

No question here as SMU has improved well since last year on defense as they rank 17th!

USF defense crumbling allowing 56pts in bask2back games.
