12noon
Illinois -7.5 over Purdue. 5 units
AS noted in my prior posts Im riding Illinois. I believe they improved the most in the Big10.
One common opponent was USC. So-Cal was favored by 20 over Purdue and by 6 over Ilinois. Illinoids won.
Purdue lacks defense.
Michigan -17 over Wisconsin. 5 units
Wolverines are running the ball at 6.8yds/rush. They also have superior pass defense.
3:30
Penn State -24.5 over UCLA. 5 units
First ranked team against UCLA. PSU defense allowing 12 pts/gm.
Bruins are a negative 14pt team. Be surprised if UCLA scores over 10 pts.
Virginia +7 over L'Ville. 6 units
Morris should be able to score all day.
L'Ville beat Pitt last week on FIVE(5) Pitt turnovers.
Vanderbilt +12 over Alabama. 10 units
Tide is one of the few ranked teams witha negative rush avg vs opponents.
The 'Doors are outstanding . They are out-rushing opponents 6.5 to 3.0.
Tide wont be able to stop them.
Bama gave up 227 yds @ 6.8 yds/rush last week to Georgia.
Looking for an upset here.
Maryland +6 over Washington. 5 units
Notre Dame -21 over Boise. 5 units.
Boise defense wont be able to stop The Irish.
7:30
FSU +4.5 over Miami Fl. 10 units
Revenge game for FSU. Miami won 36-14 LY as a -22.5 pt favorite.
This radical line change gives a real indicator on which team improved a huge amount!
Also Virginia was fortunate last week with all the FSU mistakes.
Cavs with qb Morris may be better than what Canes bring with Beck today to FSU.
FSU qb Castellanos passing rating is 189.0 . Mia Fl qb Beck 158.0. Although Mia beat Florida 26-7, Becks qb rating was low @ only 94.8.
Based on those stats - FSU played much better teams in Alabama and Virginia is even more impressive.
Mia beat ND in week one, but ND was terible early in the season.
Miami played all four games at home. This is the first road game for them today.
