Colorado +3 (5 units) Plus ML +125 ( 2 units)Over W. Virginia. Bufffs havent been outgained in their last 3 games including a Bowl game loss to Bama. Great home dog here.
Baylor +13 (-130) (4 units) over UConn. Bears are in positive yardage against opponents in their games. Conn will have to shut down the run. UConn 12-9 struggle with Temple is the red flag here.
Central Fla. +10 (5 units) over BC
Auburn +2.5 ( 7 units)over LSU. If there is one spot for a loss, this is it against an Auburn team. This looks like a mirror image of my South Carolina play last week against Georgia.(Push but should have won outright) The loss of 6 defensive starters for LSU, is going to be exposed by Auburn's NEW spread offense.
Alabama -9.5 (7 units) over Arkansas. Tide will flood that soft defense of the Razorbacks with scores..Last year they beat then ranked #16 Ark 41-38. Unranked this year, Arkansas wont score 38 and will still give up 41 again.
Central Mich +10.5 (6 units) over Purdue. UPSET? Purdue was a 9.5 fav last year in the Bowl matchup between these two (51-48 Purdue). Painter was picked for 2 int's as Purdue came away with a 3 point win. Now the Boilermakers are only favored by 1 more point at home? Painter will still get picked in this one, and CM will be a better team than last year.
Fla State -4 (6 units) over Wake Forest. I think Shake-n-Wake is in for a killing. A year ago WF held Fla St. to a measly 47 yds rushing in Wake land. There are too many missing pieces from that offense last year, that squeeked out a 24-21 win, to stay close with FS in this one.
N.C.State +7.5 (10 units) over E.Carolina. Holtz and the hype vanishes in this one. NCS upset the Pirates last year. Tom Obrien...Can you do it again? NCS held Clemson to 27 points last week in Clemson's own back yard and are worth every cent in this game.
Miami, Oh +12.5 (5 units) over Cincinnati
Michigan State -8.5 (5 units) over Notre Dame
Ohio +11.5 (6 units) over Northwestern. This Ohio team is for real. They held the Buckeyes to three quarters of less than 7 points scoring in each. They could have won their two losses to C. Mich (28-31) and in Wyoming 20-21. The 0-3 record is deceiving. The true better defense is Ohio and scoring wont become a problem against this weak 3-0 NW team.
Pittsburgh +1 ( 4 units) over Iowa. I like the home dog in this game. This is a classic big 10 road-choke (choke not chalk) in the making. Depleted defense for the Hawkeyes will need every break they can get. Looks like a SU win and a 23-16 game???
Tennessee +7.5 (5 units) over Florida. You just dont beat a team by 39 points a year ago and give them the same spread in their own back yard this year. Somethings wrong with the line, (a Sucker line) and this one will be close. Gators will come down to earth against a hungry Vols team because they are walking on the field thinking it's over before they get there - after the 59-20 whipping Tennessee got last year. Expect the kind of game from Tenn they gave Wisconsin in LY's Bowl game. I dont think Fulmer can get beat twice like that?
