Sorry I wasn't here to see Young around. With the wind NOT blowing out and the Cards NOT hitting lefties at all this year and the Cub home games all seeming to stay low-scoring, I would have been hard-pressed to play this over anyways...
Another damn power outage. I don't know whether they are fixing something or what but it was out all across my town again - not just my place. This is the third straight day I have gone multiple hours without electricity.
It came on right before Eckstein stepped in the batter's box. Why do I know? My TV volume was jacked up earlier, so when it came on, I changed it to the baseball channel and there he was...
Didn't crash til about 6:00 Eastern last night and woke up about noon.
Other notes I had prepared before going to sleep, I am going to post today.
If you guys want more observations on all 30 MLB teams, check out yesterday's thread, which was a combo observation of Wed/Thurs games... I worked on it all night last night....
Nothing for me early. Will be around, computer and power willing, to stalk all night. Still a smidge under the weather so won't be leaving the condo again today...
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before doing any bets in the National League, be sure to take the schedule into account. These 2-game sets all over the league this week is creating some NBA-type scheduling quirks that you won't see again this year in the NL except for rainout makeups...
Here are the teams at the biggest disadvantage. Going back to Sunday, this will be the sixth game in six days in four different cities for:
HOUSTON
PITTSBURGH
SAN DIEGO
It will be the fifth game in five days in three cities for:
NY METS
LA DODGERS
ATLANTA
Keep this in mind when looking at tonight's games, and if you can find out whether the starting pitchers for these teams travelled a day ahead of schedule, that would probably behoove you in your capping...
