Rivers stressed, however, that with four games coming up in a five-day span - the C’s also play tomorrow at Mohegan Sun Casino against Philadelphia, Monday at New York and Tuesday at New Jersey - none of his regulars will be asked to compete every night.

“Of those four games, Ray (Allen), Paul (Pierce) and Kevin (Garnett) may only play in two of those games each - maybe two-and-a-half,” Rivers said.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Tony Allen returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s win over the Knicks with a scratched cornea in his right eye. Allen was elbowed in the eye during practice by rookie Brandon Wallace.
“He missed guys on his (right) a lot today, but he was fine,” Rivers joked.
