GL Blood. Looking at Car over as well.
Thanks C. I played this Over on just a feling with little to support it.Vancouver has not been a good offensive team this year as they come in ranked 25th in scoring at 2.4 gpg and 24th in power play conversions (17.4%).Markstrom has been rather erratic this year in goal, but he did stop 26 Florida shots and kept them scoreless for the last two periods to pick up the win. Ryan was slated to get the start vs the Caps on Thursday night so Markstrom should get the start here as well and he is 2-0 with a 1.50 GAA vs the Hurricanes in his career. Vancouver is 22nd in goals allowed (2.7 gpg) and 19th in penalty kill (79.6%).
Overall the Hurricanes have not been a good offensive team this year as they come in at 23rd in scoring, putting up just 2.4 gpg and 25th in power play conversions (17.2%). They do need a bit more offense. Jeff Skinner is the leading scorer on the team and his last goal was a big one as it gave the Canes a 3-2 OT win over Pittsburgh. Both teams are playing with no rest in this one and I feel that the Canes will respond a bit better than the Canucks, who just don’t have the depth to handle back-to-back nights. Carolina has not been a horrible home team this year, while the Canucks are just 8-14 on the road. Carolina would also like some payback after losing last week in Vancouver.
