2-0 VGK end of 1st period SOG's 13-9 VGK. goals by Will Carrier and Jonathan Marchessault. MOST of the Sharks shots in the first 5 minutes as they came out of the gate strong BUT Fleury sharp. NO penalties so far (VERY unusual for these two)

well 5-1 VGK final. the VGK REALLY did a GOOD job on the PK tonight killing 8 for 8 AND getting two short handers from McNabb and Nosek who had two goals in the game. Jones was pulled for Dell to start the 3rd period down 0-4 probably because the Sharks have a B2B @ Ducks Saturday. VGK don't play again until Tuesday vs Boston @ T-Mobile. I will know IF they are for real IF they can beat Rask and the Bruins.

btw, from what I have seen early on I do NOT think the Sharks make the playoffs this season. will see what happens tomorrow in Anaheim BUT they obviously miss Pavelski, Donskoi and the other players they lost to free agency
