Hilarious that the Jazz are 5 point favs to OKC. You can line me up on the thunder ML now.

please convince me more. OKC as a 5 pt home dog to Utah seems like a spot I would LOVE, but couple things stopping me:
1) last time Utah played there OKC won 114-93
2) Utah's remaining road games:
@ OKC, Phoenix, Portland, Denver, New Orleans, Dallas, SA, LA: 7 str8 road games vs western conference playoff teams. COmbine that with currently a 3 game road losing streak, and you may be betting on Utah losing its last 11 road games

I have a hard time passing on this game, but love both sides. ugh

anything to help me out?

i actually think they have a better shot at winning @PHO, Denver, NOLA, and Dallas than Friday. Deron owns Paul in head to head so I think they can win at NOLA. They've always gave Dallas fits. Phoenix and Denver are interesting. 5 points is way to many either way. Worst case scenario I see a last possession type of game.

GDS's last 6 games have totaled at least 220 pts, which is a season high. Their next best efforts have been 4 games of at least 220 pts, then 3 games (twice).

I really love Minnesota in that game. Houston will play a dud in that game IMO and Minnesota is playing good ball. Perfect DD dog spot.

I hate when people say this. What you mean to say is that Utah owns New Orleans head to head. Well yeah, they have a stronger team and they've had a stronger team for the past few years. Why do people, instead of saying Utah owns New Orleans, always say that Deron owns Paul? It's a mythology that has caught on and is now seemingly just repeated by everyone. When you say Deron owns Paul, doesn't that imply that he is soundly defeating him in individual play as well?

Looking at the boxes from the last 24 months, I can see exactly one game where Deron clearly outplayed Paul, and that was on Feb. 4th, 2008. In the other 7 matchups during this time, they've either played to basically a draw, or Paul's numbers were far superior. Obviously Utah owns New Orleans. Just like a lot of teams own Ok City, that doesn't mean their small forward owns Kevin Durant.

Sorry for the rant but it's just so weird to me that so many people say so regularly like "Yeah, Paul is obviously better, but you gotta factor in how much Deron has owned him head to head."

No, he hasn't. At least not in the past couple seasons.

LOL. I started this thread??? Someone can use my account or something?

Anyway, no one showing any love for the Bobcats? It's the Raps they're playing with and best thing to do against this team is to fade them. I know Bobcats aren't that good of a road team but they're 8-1 ATS against below .500 teams since the ASB and are really gunning for that 8th spot while the Raps are just 3-10 ATS after ASB. Any stats on G.Wallace since i'm thinking of really playing the Bobcats big here.

New Jersey has an interesting "all or nothing" ATS trend in play in recent times: (earliest results to latest)...

0-2
5-0
0-5
2-0
0-3
4-0
0-5
7-0
0-4
1-0 (current streak)

Through 38 games of putting up ATS blocks of results, they have not once had an ATS win or loss bookended by the opposite result (ie. WLW or LWL), which means obviously if matters are to continue as they have done over this lengthy period, NJY will win ATS over Miami on Friday (avoiding their last game win being bookended by losing results), a fact played into by Miami being 2-4 ATS their last 6 road games and potentially missing Wade on top of that. NJY looking to avenge 4 straight home losses to the Heat.

Miami has gone 5 games w/out suffering a 9+ pt loss. Their longest previous streaks this season w/out such a loss have been 6 games (4 times) & 3 games (3 times). On the road to NJY & DET next, I suspect it rather likely such a result will soon revisit them again, esp. if Wade is absent.

--------------------------------------------------------

Philly's last 17 games have been covered by the following side (last to latest) -
Fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav-dog-fav...vs GS ??

--------------------------------------------------------

GS is 15-10 to Under through their last 25 games, after being 17-7-1 to Over it's 25 games before that.

--------------------------------------------------------

Indiana is on a season high 0-5 ATS skid

--------------------------------------------------------

Detroit's total results have paid out as follows through their last 12 games: UUOOUUOOUUOO...?

Detroit's season record is 33-34. Detroit is 3-0 ATS this season playing a game when their season record is below .500

--------------------------------------------------------

12 of the Clippers last 13 road losses have been by at least 12 points, and they are 0-13 ATS in those 13 losses.

--------------------------------------------------------

Charlotte is 13-2 ATS their last 15 games vs sub .500 teams (edit: 4-1 ATS away, 9-1 ATS at home)

Charlotte has gone 11 games without posting consecutive Under results, the 3rd time they've managed that feat this season. They've yet to go 12 games, and play toronto off an Under result their last game.

--------------------------------------------------------

The Favourite has not won a Houston game SU in regulation for 6 games. This matches the NBA's high mark for the season (by Denver, whose own streak ended at 6 games).

The Dog is 9-0 ATS in Houston's last 9 games. Looking back over recent seasons, the longest such similar Dog runs have been 11, 10, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8 & 8 games in length. Houston entering statistically rarified air here.

Houston is 7-0 to Under in reg. their last 7 games.

--------------------------------------------------------

Since Kevin Martin rejoined the team from injury, Sacramento has not lost 3 straight road games ATS - they are 0-2 ATS their last 2 road games headed into NYK.

--------------------------------------------------------

The road team is 10-2 ATS in New Yorks last 12 games.

--------------------------------------------------------

San Antonio is 1-5 ATS off their last 6 SU wins.

San Antonio is 1-4 ATS their last 5 games as a Favourite.

--------------------------------------------------------

Denver is 3-9 ATS their last 12 games as a Favourite.

--------------------------------------------------------

Washington is 3-9 ATS their last 12 games as a Dog.

--------------------------------------------------------

Nawlins is 5-1 to Under their last 6 home games, 11-4 to Under their last 15 games.

--------------------------------------------------------

Memphis is 5-1 to Under off their last 6 games to total 200+ points. Their last game totaled 220 pts headed into Nawlins.

Memphis is 11-4 ATS their last 15 games as a Dog.

--------------------------------------------------------

Utah is 0-4 ATS their last 4 games, their longest ATS skid this season with AK47 present.

Utah is 5-1 ATS their last 6 road games vs sub .500 teams.

--------------------------------------------------------

When the Dog has won Oklahoma's previous 2 games SU this season, the Favourite is 5-0 SU & 4-1 ATS in their next game. Okies previous 2 games were won SU by the Dog as they welcome Utah to town.

Fwiw, I love Bobcats tonight as well.

Interested to hear T-dot's opinion though.

Any news on who plays tonight for GS. This could be important. Nelson at this point seems to me to be interested in affecting the playoffs. He used 4 of his best players last night fairly hard. NO is up next. Then Spurs. i assume he plays no one in the Spurs game to rest for Dallas. Could he play no one tonight to try and nail NO? Info here could be useful.

Took the over on the wiz this morning bought a half and made it 209, now i see 211's,, butler may try to go tonight but even if he doesnt i still think this goes over. My only concern is they have only 9 healthy players,, dixon got hurt the other night, no word if he is playing and then they have to play at phoenix tomorrow night and really have no one to stop shaq.. just looked at some 3pt stats for nuggz,, they attempt 17 3's a game, and thats from starters and reserves, i think this is important because, the wiz are 27th in 3pt defense, this game may get ugly which to me means less defense.. thoughts??

Less is more with the over. Hope you win but betting over in games where someone is about to play in Phoenix is sometimes unlucky.

No worries BC, if there were i know you would have posted it, thanks for checking back, greatly appreciated.

tuck, valid point and i made my earlier bet without looking at their next game..

checking the box scores, it looks like the C's are back to full strength with both Ray Allen and KG back.
