Hi there,
Welcome to Friday Hoops with Handy!! I can't begin to tell you just how happy I am that you decided to visit Handyland today.
Well lets get right to the games. Before I start feel free to run to the restroom before the class begins.
Well as many of you know I'm a real student of sports gambling. I'm constantly on the prowl looking for upcoming situations which warrant a Handy triple play.
For those of you who bet baseball you really need to highlight this game on your betting card for next week. Take the Texas Rangers to beat Tim Wakefield and the Boston Red Sox next Friday night in Arlington. Wakefield almost never pitches well in this park. His outings are usually short and the Red Sox also have a weak hitting lineup when he pitches as Mirabelli catches not Varitek. I know Varitek hasn't been hitting so hot either this spring but go against Texas and you should be pretty happy next Friday night.
All right back to hoops.
Friday night another interesting card on the docket.
Miami at Minnesota - This one has sucker bet written in capital letters. It's time for you to wake up and realize the Heat aren't that good without Wade. The books know it and they're loving everyone of you who drops down your hard earned cash on the half a heart Heat. I don't trust this team for five seconds with my money on the road. Don't think Minnesota won't come to play. They didn't lay down in Utah Wednesday night following that big collapse the night before at home vs. Seattle. Let me tell you if the Timberwolves play vs. Miami like they did the other night at Utah the Heat are going to lose. You have to be a real fool to take the Heat on the road and not get any points. Please don't make this terrible mistake.
Utah at Spurs - Wow at first glance I thought the Jazz catching a touchdown was a good bet. I'm finding out a lot of people think that too. That's a good reason to think it's a lousy bet. Yeah, the Spurs are playing great ball and the Jazz haven't covered a game their last 10. Maybe tonight isn't the night to go near them again. I don't know. It's still hard to bet against the Spurs at home. Very dangerous bet to say the least.
Houston at LAL - No shit you probably think the Rockets win this game. Not so fast. LAL as a healthy home dog has been impressive this season. What's so bad about getting Kobe Bryant's team at home catching two points? I say nothing. It's not a bad bet. Not sure if it's a great bet but I think the Lakers may win this game.
Well that's it for now.
Class is over.
Homework for this weekend is to start doing the chalk breakdowns for how many games you need to win out of 100 at different ML prices.
In other words if you bet 100 games at -150 how many do you have to win in order to turn a profit. This is something everyone should have a complete working knowledge of as baseball season begins. Very hard to make money laying heavy chalk lines.
Well get back to your calculator and start number crunching like we do in Handyland.
Life is dandy when you're capping the game with a capper named Handy!!
