Tyler Jenkins tossed 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball Wednesday in his first major league start.Jenkins was rolling until he allowed back-to-back singles to Freddy Galvis and Cesar Hernandez leading off the bottom of the fifth inning. The right-hander got pulled a batter later and Odubel Herrera promptly smacked an RBI double off reliever Ian Krol. Jenkins was converted from starting to relieving last month at Triple-A Gwinnett and arrived in the majors in a bullpen role, but the Twins might as well give the former top prospect an extended look in their rotation coming out of the All-Star break.
