Clippers are on the no fade list for me right now. Yes situationally everything points to the Jazz, home off a loss, revenge, Clips on b2b off a blowout win.... fact is LAC is playing great ball and getting great bench play. Line of 3 makes sense given the situation but I won't be on the Jazz

Orlando favored to win a road game? Beal is playing this time around, and the Magic are garbatz. Ugly game.

Orlando favored to win a road game? Beal is playing this time around, and the Magic are garbatz. Ugly game.

The difference between these two are that Orlando actually cares about winning some games, while Washington just simply don't give a shit. They could lose this one by 15 points and nobody would even care about that. Wizzard play some streetball type of basketball without any defense. They actually shouldn't be favored in any game this year.

I was expecting the jazz to be -2 or -3 before the clippers Xmas day game. Situationally, the jazz play is about as good as you could get. With the high altitude, it is very likely the clippers won't have their legs on their long range shots which leads to plenty of fast break opportunities. Nearly 90% on the clipshow. 90%!

I guess the thing about the CLippers is they basically have 10-12 players who contribute, no one played over 30 mins last night...That negates a lot of the advantage that UTah normally has in these situations...

What about the over in the game

nba, there is no way in hell 90% are on the Clippers, but that's another discussion for another time. The Clippers bench is top tier in the league, and you think the whole team is going to suddenly lose their legs? You may be on to something with the line being a little shaded the Clips way, but oddsmakers likely had no choice after last night's beating. No Mo could really hurt in a game where you are already outmatched in the backcourt.

So assuming Melo plays, what does the Knicks line come out at? I'm thinking Knicks are a play @ anything under 5. Is that wishful thinking?

That's very true. But human nature dictates that the clippers will regress and Mother Nature is a biatch.

and there's no better place for the clippers to have a let down than on the road in Utah, the first leg of a home n home, after beating the nuggets and celtics on national television.

this LAC/Utah game sure is an ultimate example of the age old "talent vs situation" debate.

I just can't go against the clips here, they are clicking on all cylinders.

Lakers will be a play for me. Still looking at how.
Portland on the road this year

If they do not win they have not covered
Lakers history at home vs them is not great but with Portland at home tomorrow and Lakers current history at home on Friday see value here.
Washington cares. Thinking they do not is amazing. The problem is a culture of failure and yet another coach who is clueless. You might look at Washington at halftime in the third quarter. Back to work.

washington has got to be one of the worst run franchises in the league, the team needs veterans to get that team in line

the youth is only good if there is someone to direct them properly... they are basically living like college athletes with an endless supply of money

Some interest in Indiana under as a situational play in line with fundamentals.

A few details. I know the Suns have been working hard on their defense
With the extended time off would imagine Indiana has been doing the same.
Both teams have games tomorrow. Indiana plays at Atlanta who they have lost 3 in a row and are 2-8 last 10 against.
Suns play in conference Minn. It seems to me history aside Indiana knows this Suns team is not much this year and that the Atlanta game is much more important. Refs aceptable and taking advantage of the Suns under streak seems to make some sense here.

I like Dallas tonight, but like Lakers and Sixers even more.
Sixers really match up the Warriors well, have great H2H and the line is just too high I believe.
Lakers just in a must win spot in my eyes and while the line is big, they should do the job I think.

Locked in Lakers minus 9. Bet when I saw Pau in. Just see a lot of progress for the Lakers. Howard improving his free throws. Pau involved in the offense. A superb point guard and Portland a bad road team playing in a bad spot. Forgot to mention Kobe playing the best in years.

Been thinking aboiut Philadelphia. Cooled a little with Jason out but GS in a win lose cycle facing a team playing well that they have bad history with is tempting.

That's very true. But human nature dictates that the clippers will regress and Mother Nature is a biatch.

and there's no better place for the clippers to have a let down than on the road in Utah, the first leg of a home n home, after beating the nuggets and celtics on national television.
Interesting. You expect them to forget losing 5 in a row to Utah and voluntarily give up the winning streak. I see

what do you mean losing 5 in a row to Utah?

[h=2]Recap[/h] Clippers 105, Jazz 104: Blake Griffin had 30 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Paul scored the tie-breaking basket as Los Angeles snapped Utah’s perfect home mark for just its third victory in its last 41 visits to Salt Lake City.

Jamal Crawford scored 20 points and Paul had 14 points and nine assists. Paul tallied the go-ahead basket with 39.9 seconds left when he drove around Jazz center Al Jefferson to give the Clippers a 101-99 lead.

Mo Williams had 20 points and 12 assists, Randy Foye scored 19, Gordon Hayward tallied 17 and Jefferson had 16 points and 10 rebounds and for Utah, which fell to 6-1 at home.

The Jazz had a 12-point advantage late in the third quarter before Los Angeles rolled off eight straight points to pull within 83-79 early in the final stanza. The Clippers took a 91-90 lead on Griffin’s dunk with five minutes remaining.

Utah led by as many as 13 points in the first quarter and was up 58-51 at halftime. DeMarre Carroll’s 3-pointer gave the Jazz a 14-point advantage midway through the third quarter.

Not that it matters much but the last time the clippers won a game in Utah coming in on the tail end of a b2b was.....

i just went back to the 1990-1991 season and they've lost every time... 0-16 SU

Look I am not playing the Clippers. Just too many other bets but some of the things you are saying.
This year they are an elite team. Prior to that they were mostly garbage.

The Nuggets are one of the best teams to take advantage of certain situations, such as tired teams. I recently read an article where the author downplayed the advantage of teams that play and train at altitude, saying that pro athletes are in amazing shape and high altitude training has little to no advantage. As a person who lived at 8500 feet for 11 years, and went to school for four years before that in a town with the Olympic Training Center, I could only shake my head while reading that incorrect synopsis.

The Nuggets with more rest than their opponent are 36-14 (+9 ppg) and 33-15 ATS since the 2010 season. When they have more rest than their opponent and they are a road favorite, they are 6-1 SU (+10.9 ppg) and ATS in this same time period.

The Mavericks put up a valiant fight and effort last night. Dirk finally started to look a bit more like himself down the stretch, but I doubt that he will be able to play so many minutes tonight. Mayo should have a better game tonight, not sure how it could get any worse, but also not sure that Collison can match his performance from last night. Teams off a road loss where they led after the third quarter are 7-33 SU (-8.7 ppg) and 10-30 ATS as a home dog with no rest. Home dogs off an OT game with no rest are 10-37 SU (-5.9 ppg) and 17-30 ATS since 1995. Obviously, no mental or physical advantages to these scenarios.

Dallas is the worst team in the league at giving up offensive rebounds to opponents, which was evident last night when they gave up 17 to OKC, which is way above the Thunder's average of 10.4 a game (they are 24th in the league). And guess who is the #1 offensive rebounding team? Denver should have a field day in the paint tonight. They are 1st in the league by a large margin at scoring in the paint, averaging more than 15 ppg than Dallas, and the second chance points should be abundant. They also average 5+ rebounds more per game than Dallas, and tonight I expect that it will be easy for them to meet this margin. Teams this season that are able to win both these categories are 170-66 SU (+7.4 ppg) and 160-66 ATS (favorites are 125-19 SU (+11.2)).

Teams who face the Nuggets off an OT game are 4-8 SU (-7.7 ppg) and 2-10 ATS in the last 12. Denver is scrappy, young, fast, and well-conditioned. That is exactly the kind of team you don't want to face after a hard-fought physical overtime loss, especially for a Dallas squad that is desperately seeking an identity.

Nuggets -2.5 x2
Nets -9.5 (for reasons stated yesterday in a different thread)

Good luck...

From Killer SportsDAY:
The Nuggets are 10-0-1 ATS (11.3 ppg) since January 13, 2011 with at most one day of rest after a double digit win in which their DPS was at least plus 15 points.
Will have something on Denver

I know that tuck. But it says a lot about the travel and the altitude. Denver and Utah's stadium are in very remote locations compared to other arenas around the league. The travel to the stadiums is not very enjoyable from what I hear.

twink - i think the new coach angle could very well be in effect tonight. i don't know how you can play the wiz though...

ahhh twink, looks like the Wiz are winners
str8 up LOL

that early run is the one you can stomach

just playin the line movement and the fact that ORL shouldnt lay road juice really

u know NBA way better than me.....how bout u just owe me a winner player? LOL
