Also noticing that Boston has covered 1 of the last 9 games with GS perhaps we could look a little more at the games before a lot of early picks.

Quick look indicates that recently Wall has not been making his shots but has been distributing the ball. Last game he had a very bad game. If he plays average they win that game. Tomorrow?

Not sure. I believe so far this year NY has won vs Heat away and then won at Miami. All others got hit hard. Memphis has big men that the Heat do not match up well with but that is one to think about. Understand clearly that this is Policy. Heat are seriously going for them.

Heat are without a doubt a play for me on Sunday up to -3 although I'm not really sure if the heat would be looking ahead to that game. The Knicks three point shooting is no longer the same as the previous two games vs the heat. That is now they beat Miami.

Opening line is more important to me as I've said.

Also regarding the celtics, this will be their only game in a weeks stretch. Their next game is Tuesday. Possibly a good 2h opportunity because they could start out a little flat coming off the west coast trip. I'm not touching GS though

Detroit plays next at Spurs who they beat by 10 previously . Detroit just got out of a slump. I like the Hornets but they are 1-5 ATS last 6. Detroit figures to play them very hard. This game needs to be looked at.
Hornets 12-4 ATS after a 10 or greater loss

GS might be a bad spot actually. Boston on 3 days rest GS playing 4 in 6 with a recent 1-7 road record.

would need some Piston info from last few days, but didnt they beat Bullets in a nail biter otr?

missed your post but agree....Hornets off a really bad loss

You serious? Chicago 3-7 ATS last 10 at home on Saturday and now they play at home off a win which is terrible for them.. This was the point of my bet on Chicago today. They were due for a win but a win was a lot easier on a Thursday than Saturday Maybe I should not say automatic but definitely the only way I could play it. Under as well. Last 13 Chicago Saturday games have gone under.

Staying away from Boston. Boston in BC's angle:
vs non-Conf teams as a Fav ............................ 8-23-1

Boston has a bull in Bradley who will shut down Curry. Pick and roll offenses fail vs Boston. Last meeting GSW ran it up vs a Boston squad without Bradley and Rondo.

Virginia had lost 17/18 to Duke. Sometimes it's best to leave the ATS #s ranging years and dozens of players, alone.

UTAH JAZZ TT OVER 102
(upgrade if Jefferson plays)

Bobcats have been killing inside, their bigs cant defend and teams have been exploiting that. Now I read that Jefferson may be out for this one so if thats the case I will downgrade the play, just a little. Bobcats have been outscored by an avg of 18ppg in SIX CONSECUTIVE GAMES! Now on the season the Bobcats have one of the worst def's in the league giving up 102.8ppg and a dreadful 46.8% def FG. Lately its been worse last 7 games their def FG% is 51.7. They have given up 105+ in 4 straight games and 101+ in 6 out of their last 7.

Now what could make the Utah Jazz not score 102? Lack of focus or being unmotivated, right? Well the Jazz have lost 4 straight(all to playoff teams) and are fighting for a spot themselves so they will be super focused tonight @ home in front of their home court. Jazz avg 101 a game @ home and are 21-8. Is 102 asking too much?

Jazz themselves have scored 100+ in 5 out of their last 7..

Last time these two played on 1.9.13, Utah scored 112. shot 53% from the field and this game was @ CHARLOTTE.

Spurs fall as well under BC's angle:
@Home vs Conf teams as a Fav ....................... 21-43-2

On Spurs, pretty self explanatory but will post a writeup later.

Denver as a regular season home dog is a 100% autoplay for me totally regardless of the circumstances, and to be honest tonight's circumstances don't really favor OKC to begin with.

Quite a bit of love out there for the Grizz.

Refs a combined 49-68-4 ATS for the home team.

Seems the Meat have covered every nationally televised game they've been on of late...

Friday

ATS: 141-101-7 (+44.9)
OU: 72-62-2 (+2.5)
ML dogs: 5-9 (+2.6)

To try to get out of this little losing streak, I’m going with three teams that I have capped the best this season. There are some others I like, but...let’s see if this work
smile.gif

Warriors

The Celtics are home off a tough 5 game western road trip. They had a nice overtime win against the Jazz to end their trip. Teams playing at home as a favorite after an overtime win on the road are 54-43 SU (+2.1 ppg) and 36-60-1 ATS (average line -3.9) when their opponent is coming off a road game since the 2002 season. Even with 2 or more days rest, teams are just 14-24 ATS since the 2002 season after an overtime game, when their opponent is coming off a road game. It is not so much that they are tired because of the game, but it is just mentally taxing. Teams playing as a home favorite after a road game that went to overtime are just 39-34 SU and 24-49 ATS when they have less than five days of rest, if their opponent is rested and coming off a road game since the 2002 season. Finally, teams playing as a home favorite coming off a road win that went into overtime are 37-25 SU (+2.2 ppg) and 18-44 ATS when playing in any month except November (less rest, more grueling part of the season) since the 2002 season when their opponent is coming off a road game.

An important thing to notice about the trends above is that they are all applicable only when opponents are coming off road games themselves. Site switching can also be a difficult transition for teams, even with a mentally tough veteran squad (as evidenced by the Spurs earlier this week). Since the 2004 season, teams coming off a 5 or more game road trip that are playing as a home favorite are 25-22 SU and 15-32 ATS. Teams coming off a road win as a dog playing as a home favorite are 20-15 SU (1.6) and 10-25 ATS when they were on a 4 or more game road trip and their opponent is coming off a road game where they covered the spread since the 2004 season. Since the 2003 season, teams coming off a 5 or more game road trip playing as a home favorite in the eastern time zone coming off a game in the mountain time zone are 17-17 SU and 11-23 ATS. Finally, teams playing as a home favorite in the eastern time zone are just 5-7 SU and 2-10 ATS since the 1998 season when they are coming off a road win as a dog against a mountain time zone team. Teams get into a routine and flow when they are playing on the road, which is why sometimes you see teams have better success towards the middle or end of a long road trip. Teams playing in at least their fourth road game against a non-conference opponent are 225-186-5 ATS since the 2005 season, when their next game is also on the road. This trend is not super strong, but it does show how teams can get a flow to their road schedule.

Since the 2003 season, teams playing as a home favorite that give up between 92 and 98 ppg are 10-28 ATS when they are playing a team with a winning record that gives up between 98 and 102 ppg, when both they and their opponent scored more than 105 or more points in the last game. While this trend is not completely applicable because of the overtime, I think it speaks to the pace that the Celtics played in their last game, and that game went over the total before overtime. If the Warriors can control the pace tonight, as this trend implies, they should be able to win the game, as the are a more efficient offensive team.

The Warriors beat the Celtics handily at home earlier this season. Since the 2000 season, teams coming off a 5 or more game road trip playing as a home favorite seeking same season revenge for a 15 or more point loss are 10-11 SU and 7-14 ATS. While I expect that Bradley will have a huge impact on this game tonight for Boston, as one of the best on-ball defenders, Curry seems to have found his groove, and as a smart player, I think he can handle the pressure. The Warriors shut down Pierce and Garnett defensively in the match up earlier this year, and if they can do that again, the should come out with a win.

Taking care of the ball tonight is the key to this game for the both teams. The Celtics have the worst transition defense in the league, and the Warriors are fourth in the league in transition efficiency. The Celtics also struggle with put back baskets - they are 24th in the league in put back defense. After David Lee’s suspension, I expect him to come out with some fire on the offensive boards, and he is one of the best at scrapping up loose boards and putting them back in. He is averaging 27.7 points and 12.0 boards in his last three matchups against Boston.

The Warriors have struggled on the road recently, but I think they have a good chance to come out with a couple important wins in their next two games.

Nets

Come on, the Mavericks have GOT to be deflated now, right?? Two home losses as favorites, followed by a game where they held a twenty point lead and let their opponent go on a 40-9 run, and eventually win it? Is the fight gone? This team perpetually surprises me with their resilience, but I’m just not seeing it tonight against a good Nets team at home on a Friday night. That's it. I know it is not much, but I watch both these teams all the time. The bubble has got to burst.

Nuggets

Big game tonight for the Nuggets to make a statement about who they are in western conference right now. A few days ago I posted all this fun stuff about playing in Denver:

“Denver is a tough place to play. The Nuggets push the pace even better at home than they do on the road. They are 23-3 at home this season [now 24-4], and they outscore their opponents at home by well over 9 points per 100 possessions. Most likely due to their pace and partly due to the altitude, their defense is better at home as well - 5 points per 100 possessions better, they force 2% more turnovers at home (which is a jump from 24th on the road in the league to 3rd at home). Since the start of 2013, they have forced their opponents into 16.9 [now 16.8] turnovers per game, which leads to a lot of fast break points. They lead the league in fast break points since the calendar year 2013.

The Nuggets play a relentless style and are constantly attacking the rim. The Nuggets have a huge edge at home, and they want to secure a first round playoff series at home. I think they are fully capable of catching up to Memphis, but they need to win every game, especially every home game.”

And, that is all still true. The Thunder have had a few “cake walk” games, but now they face two tough opponents on the road. Brooks will not be out-coaching his mentor Karl tonight.

Warriors +4.5
Warriors ML +155
Nets -3.5
Nuggets PK x2

Good luck...

spurs, the team knows their loss vs phoenix was a let down game and it was unacceptable judging by the quotes... sactown is playing well though so i gotta think a little more
wall point prop over

Quite a bit of love out there for the Grizz.

Refs a combined 49-68-4 ATS for the home team.

Seems the Meat have covered every nationally televised game they've been on of late...
Only real problem is Knicks next game but seriously. Miami does not look past a 18 point loss.

Agree Tuck although NY has handed Miami a pair of DD losses. Memphis still an under-the-radar team. Doubt LeBron considers the Grizz a threat.

Tout count on the Grizz is also rather one-sided...

A little interest in Suns. Far from a bet but fairly standard. Always look seriously at a team after a major win against a super power. Just tends to super charge them.

where do you see tout picks all in one place emkee?

Not all in one place, various 'service play' sites.

Heat/Grizz a game to avoid, IMO.

Grizz just overcame their largest deficit to beat the Mavs (letdown spot), haven't really played anyone of note during their current streak. They do match-up very well with the Heat though. Miami with a 'revenge' spot here but a monster 'look ahead/double-revenge' game versus the Knicks on Sunday. Bron versus Melo as opposed to Tony Allen/Z-Bo, doubt he cares to much about the latter. Refs with a road team mentality (Mauer a noted crook), touts/'Blankets' like the Grizz, 8 spread favors the dog.

Gun to head - Grizz. Principles - Heat...

Think Memphis is double revenge for Heat as well.
HH on options

There are the others ones that popped up, based purely on trends. I didn't go beyond the trends to look at specific matchups:

Spurs
Heat
Bobcats
Atlanta

I'm thinking of adding the Spurs 1h -8.5

Spurs have an average halftime margin of +6.8 at home, and the Kings have an average halftime deficit of -8.5 on the road. Since the 2008 season, the Spurs have a been a 14+ home favorite thirteen times. In 9 of these 13 games (69%), they have had an 8+ point lead at halftime.

hmmmmmmmm.... have to think they come out strong after their debacle against the Suns? __________________

NBA> I always see your above posting but I do not have a key/legend to decipher it. I am interested in the columns/rows of the % numbers. From what I can tell they are trends on the ATS/ML/OU listed with the away teams on top.. is this correct?

dont have either of those props available but i did take D. lee over 12.5 boards even... thats gonna be my only wager on that game

locked in on the spurs -14, similar thoughts to raems's post... sjax is out btw, doesnt mean much

Lame vid by Miami posted on the Tube yesterday. Maybe enough to push me onto the Grizz, lol. Looks like they really take the Grizz seriously and focused on practice the last 2 days...

Locked in Clippers minus 7.5. Fairly simple. Cleveland on a 6 game season high ATS streak Their next opponent is Knicks

A team they keep carefully in mind
They know a much better team is going to avenge their win at LA today.
They are playing 5th in 7 and the Clippers are 6-1 ATS this year revenging a home loss.
Not a good spot for Cleveland

Playing GS. Clear rebounding edge. HH has been very willing to bet against GS. She watches almost all their games and has been very accurate. No real reason not to tail.
Very small bet on Nets. Why? After this game Dallas plays 2 games with Houston.
