hawks will stomp jazz tomorrow....almost for sure a big play for me....rested and match well

det been scoring, playing good o and can't see them losing to knicks....very possible i will play over there

rondo back in the garden for his first visit as an opponent....he will bring it all and celts will run with him...celts 1h and maybe game over but 215 probably too many...will look for a second half mavs play

bucs in the midst of 9 of 12 on the road and have not won at home since 12-13....good spot for them to get a home win as pacers play 5 in 8

hawks looking at port, clips, grizz coming up...they will win this one because they can and they will have to work for the next three

tor 8-2 last 10....8 wins against easy opponents and two losses against bulls/blazers....gsw rolls i think

mem but i do not know why and seem to undervalue lal so i will probably stay away

Pistons are 3-0 ATS covering by an average of 21 points per game since cutting Smith loose. In 98-95 win over Knicks earlier this year, Smith was 2-17 from the floor, while Carmelo was 5-21.

Tell me about Bruno Caboclo? Guy is a Toronto player who has been recalled to the main team and its seems to make the Toronto fans happy.
Early lean to Pelicans. Might have to play Detroit

Good stuff!!

Wary of tonight's games - holiday, travel etc, but with that being said...

I like the Celtics tonight both for the half and game..
pistons ml
over in N.O.- Rox tt over
i like the effort the bucks have been giving,, having Sanders and Ersan out has helped this team but pacers are playing better and as healthy as they probably will be for the year... stay away
Jazz - a team i cant figure out.. Hawks should win the game but ...
do like the Raptors to cover..
no line for the Horny's,, stephensons injury has been a blessing,,

He is a 6ft 9 wingman....Fran Fraschilla called him the Brazilian KD. He is long and lanky and very athletic. Runs the floor well and can make 3's. Still unpolished, but once he gets more seasoning, he will be able to drive on guys one on one, he handles the ball well. Watch this highlights from his season debut for TOR earlier this year...

TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday they have recalled forward Bruno Caboclo from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.
After being demoted to the D-League on Christmas day, the 19-year-old rookie appeared in three games with Fort Wayne, averaging 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 13.0 minutes. His highlight was 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes in his first game Dec. 27 at Iowa.
Caboclo made his NBA debut Nov. 21 versus Milwaukee and scored a season-high eight points in 12 minutes of action. He has played a total of 15 minutes in three games with Toronto this season, recording eight points and two rebounds.
A native of Osasco, Brazil, Caboclo was selected 20th overall by Toronto in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Just read a trend.
Toronto at Golden State, 10:35 ET
Toronto: 37-21 ATS in road games
Golden State: 4-15 ATS in home games after leading in their previous game by 20 or more points at the half
GS beat Philadelphia by 40 points. They shot 56.1% in that game. I think that combo might be unlucky. No lock of course but Toronto does not like that team and is coming off a SU and ATS loss. GS has been having problems recently with over 500 teams. Losing to Memphis and at the Clippers. They have a great record with 2 days rest but most of those were in good spots. Meanwhile the spread goes down with the public on them

Random angle. Pelicans 7-0 SU at home off a loss.
But of course Houston was playing great vs Washington and the Spurs before blasting the Hornets.

Cashman, why do you like the Celtics?

A few reasons:
I think the trade depleted the Mavs bench....
Besides Nelson, i like the guys the Celtics got (on both ends of the floor)
I think they will want to show the Mavs what they traded away (this can also work against them)..
Rondo is going to want to prove himself - Bradley and Smart are going to take it as a challenge...
i also think Coach brad will tell whomever is guarding rondo in the half court to give him anything outside...
I like that they are at home - I also like they are now getting 6 (from my guy)
Also like that they hustle for the whole game....

George Hill (sore left groin) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bucks.

Gary Neal (hamstring) was limited during the Hornets' shootaround, and he'll be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Cavaliers

Andrew Bogut (knee) and Festus Ezeli (ankle) are both making progress, but neither guy will suit up for Friday's game against the Raptors.

Zach Randolph is likely to miss Friday night against the Lakers, according to beat writer Ronald Tillery.

Larry Sanders (illness) is out for Friday's game against the Pacers.

Ersan Ilyasova (concussion) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Pacers.

Detroit has to be the ultimate trap bet tonight...

Opens -2, books probably knew full well who was going to play/who would be ruled out, now moves to -4.5....Knicks got something up their sleeve tonight.

Also, Knicks first game back home after West coast road trip that concluded with a night in Los Angeles on New Years eve....

I'll probably hit Detroit live if I get +money on the ML at some point.

Yeah, no Carmelo is a reason to back the Knicks. Did not realize he was out. But I don't think the books are trying to pull anything. They are generally super-slow to adjust to changes like the addition by subtraction of J. Smith.

Yeah but I think books opening Detroit -2 was way short to begin with, I expected a -4.5 open and it to move to maybe -5.5 or -6.

I think they wanted Detroit action from the get-go, and have probably got an enormous amount of Piston money in comparison to Knick. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

You didn't like my reasons?? :)

They're mostly things I was already thinking about. I thought I might be missing something. Thanks for responding. It will be a small play because the recent trade is a wild card, but I think the Mavs are going to remain focused for a while given the novelty of the Rondo thing.

That's my point. The book's power ratings before the Pistons moved smith would have made the Knicks -2.5 or so. So they've already adjusted 4.5 points which is huge by their standards. The market -- including you -- says it's not enouh, but the books are always more conservative.

Rondo hits his first seven shots including 4 threes? Wow. I can't say I expected that, but he's had a nice return to Boston including a warm welcome from the crowd.

I was going to post the link to the tribute...

Josh smith is a bum for real he is killing every team he goes to send his ass to china

More than a little. I played them and looking back WHY? Dallas has Rondo as their point guard. He is playing his ex home team. It is their obligation to support him vs his old team. Its not a personal thing at all. That's just what teams do.
No idea why I lost sight of that. Still cashed with Pelicans, Detroit and Pacers.
I really wanted Toronto to cover. Instead they just got spanked for the second game in a row with a American League team. I could be wrong but I think Sunday they lose for the third time in a row at the Suns. I could be wrong but so far the Suns at home have only lost to 1 top tier team. Memphis and won at home vs Dallas, GS and Spurs. Do not see that changing. Suns are just on a serious upswing. Getting spanked bad at GS with rest --that's on Toronto.

Just going to point out that tonight
Dragic went 3-13
Bledsoe 6-14
Len went 16 minutes and 27 seconds and scored 1 basket.
The Suns were not out to kill Philadelphia at all. They beat them by 16 and could have beat them by 30. It was just a harmless no malice game.
