I’ll probably watch some of this garbage but any international hockey tournament without Russia and the Czech Republic is really not worth having.

What is the point of stopping the season for a tournament with only four teams. My only hope is that these during these two weeks pizza boy Drury gets lost in the Bermuda triangle or something similar.
 
Canada’s top 8 goalies in terms of save percentage aren’t playing, but they do have Stanley cup winners Jordan Binnington and Adin Hill.
 
Canada PP 1 may be the best 5 man unit ever.
12 second it took them to score a sweet goal. Sweden decided enough was enough and no more penalties taken.
Was better hitting action then I expected. I'll be watching US game tonight.

Not sure if they mentioned it but Canada's won 26 games in a row with Crosby playing (I kid because they said it about a thousand times).
Tournament is Canada's to lose, only weak point in their gk, but now Theodore is out for the tourney.

US has a great roster, but they can't compete with CAnada's speed.
Sweden's roster is really solid. They are on par with US

Finland top end roster is good, but the bottom end is nowhere near as good as the other nations.

Good summary.

I was watching with a hockey fanatic last night and he mentioned that the rosters were set a few months ago and that is hurting the USA goaltending situation?

Does that track?
 
Rosters were set in December, but I mean, I can't see getting away from Hellyebuck at #1 and Oettinger at #2. US Goaltending is strong, only major advantage they have over Canada. They should be more physical too, but man speed kills and Canada has it in spades.

What are the tipping customs in Canada because when I hear someone is from Ontario I know it’s gonna be a death march with very little appreciation shown at the end.

Pretty damn good hockey so far, for the most part. This is definitely preferable to what the All-Star format had become. Russia obviously without a team due to the Ukraine invasion, but the Czechs fielding a team would have been a stretch. They have nowhere near the talent they used to & would have been a distant 6th if they & the Russians had been entered in the tournament. Besides, with 6 teams, they would have needed another week off on top of the12 days they're already missing. At the very least, the NHL & MLB all-star games still have some level of significance, unlike the NBA & NFL.

Thinking tonight's game has a fair amount of scoring. I believe & I'm sure the Canadians & US teams do as well, that they'll be meeting in the championship game Thursday in Boston, so I'd think they'll try to show their offensive talent off a bit more tonight & then lockdown on each other in the championship game. I'm liking the + money on the over 6.5.
