OK. So Peja & Paul had to produce record outings just for my Under. Well done. I paid the price for ignoring those 2 teams 11-1 Over history their prior 12 meetings (and the trend thread call for Over, which I acknowledged but thought taken care of by earlier results - buzzz. wrong).
Which brings me to my anomaly for today. You want past histories?
Try 2 teams averaging 169.1 points over the last 4 seasons (8 meetings). With an overall highest total of 189, and a highest total of 174 at the venue they play at tonight.
Now try the line for this game being 207.5 - thats nearly 20 points higher than the highest output these 2 teams - with the same core of players - have managed in over 4 seasons.
One of those teams, the LA Clippers, are on a B2B. Last season LA...
- in road B2Bs vs Eastern teams went 3-0 to Under at an average of 165.6 points when they lost the game SU. The Clips are 0-4 SU their last 4 visits to Indiana. Their highest total in a win, was 207.
- in road B2Bs they lost SU, having played on the road the night before, LA was 5-1 to Under at an average of 180.0 points. Their only Over result came against a Western opponent.
These 2 teams have piled on the points vs weak teams this season (all totals over 200 vs WAS, GSW, SEA & MEM. No suprise here, the same ole *no-defense* culprits from last season). These 2 teams themselves arent of the same mold. They'll play some D, as their historical results vs one another from recent seasons show.
Thats good enough for me. NOR/LAK historical lesson learned.
Under 207.5 for small (until a months stats worth of results are in, all my bets are small).
