UFC FIGHT NIGHT: MAGNY VS PRATES

@ UFC APEX - LAS VEGAS, NV

Prelims:

  • 2/2.84 ANTONIO TROCOLI +142
  • 2/4.70 Cody Stamann +235

Gonna roll with 2 dogs out the gate as I think they both bring good value with real chances to win. I like Trocoli's size/length advantage 6'6" to 6' and I lover Stammen's wrestling pedigree and stellar TDD.

Whole card, except fight #1

I won a small amount on limited plays, probably not many plays today either. On these lowly cards I'm much better off to be more selective.

❌2/4.70 Cody Stamann +235
[0-2 -4u]

  • 1.17/10 Zach Scroggin wins inside distance +855
  • 3/1.30 Cortavious Romious -230
  • 4.50/3 Gillian Robertson wins inside distance -150

  • Scroggin comes in on short notice and his best chance will be with an early finish. In 7 career fights he has finished 5 although tonight is his first UFC bout. Scroggin will have a size advantage, and he's shown finishing ability...although "Capoeira" has a huge advantage in experience.
  • Bolanos & Romious are both well-versed bangers, but Romious has the wrestling chops to go with it, not to mention his imposing physicality.
  • I always like "The Savage" for the finish versus any journeymen ladies.

Tough night for me losing first 6 but did win last 3 to avoid catastrophe.

Carlos Prates

"The Nightmare" wrapped up the 100th Fight Night by walking away with a KO victory against Neil Magny. Magny initially tested Prates’ takedown defense, but the Brazilian stayed on his feet, pressing Magny against the fence before landing a decisive left hand near the end of the first round. Such a dominant victory is likely to break Prates into the top 15 and is sure to establish him as a serious contender in the welterweight division after a standout rookie year.1731242755933.png

Charles Radtke

Charles Radtke made quick work of his opponent, taking under a minute to push Matthew Semelsberger against the fence. He landed a strong left hand that staggered "Semi the Jedi," followed by another punch that dropped him to a knee. Radtke sealed the win with a flurry of strikes...marking another dominant first-round finish for Radtke, who is now 10-4, with impressive back-to-back UFC victories.1731242853985.png

Da’Mon Blackshear

Da'Mon Blackshear secured a first-round win over Cody Stamann after a flying knee left Stamann open to attack. Stamann started the bout off strong, but the knee from Blackshear turned the tide. Blackshear quickly went for a guillotine, then transitioned to a rear-naked choke as Stamann exposed his back, locking in the submission just before the round's end. This victory ended Blackshear’s two-fight skid and showcased his grappling prowess, improving his UFC record to 3-3-1, with each win coming by stoppage.

Mansur Abdul-Malik

Mansur Abdul-Malik made an impressive UFC debut with a first-round TKO over Dusko Todorovic, finishing him with powerful strikes and a decisive Muay Thai knee. Although still developing his skills, the undefeated 27-year-old showed his potential and could become a serious issue in the middleweight division with more experience.
