  • Ramaska(9-2)-Nathan(8-1) ...Ramaska should prove the better striker while Fletcher the better grappler. He will get this fight to the ground eventually, but it'll be hard to keep Ramaska there...when Ramaska works on the feet he will punish Fletcher in space, possibly getting a finish or more likely a decision win.
  • Petroski(11-3)- Budka(7-3) ... Should be a high-paced affair from the get. Both guys work best on the mat, with Andre the stronger, more technical fighter with a solid sub arsenal.
  • Amorim(8-1) - Demopoulos(11-5) ...Lil Monster is very game and comes to fight, and although her game has improved considerable in her 3-year UFC journey(5-2), it still looks to me Amorim's physical gifts and world-class BJJ will be too much. This one likely ends early with arm bar submission.
  • Yizha(25-4) - Santos(10-2)... Hard to say what we get here with hungry grapplers. Yizha appears the more experienced and better grappler, but Santos can hang without doubt. Probably a closer fight than the odds would indicate, so I'm only playing the over.
  • Dulgarian(6-1) - Marotte(8-2)... "The MidWest Choppa" is the rightful favorite with an amazing standup repertoire, however I really don't understand -2400 with both fighters coming off losses. The UFC and Dana seem behind Isaac and are clearly pushing him as a "ready" prospect. Fireworks are likely, small play ITD for me.
  • Zhu Rong(25-5) - Padilla(14-6)... As much as I would like to find a "live dog", just not seeing it in the early bouts, not enough to get behind anyway. Zhu Rong has powerful striking inside and out and it's going to be tough for Padilla to get this fight down.

Last card out, I was in a funk and just throughout a few lonshots. Should have just took the day off as I went 0-5 and lost 14u

Still 2024 has been decent so far...

  • 3.44/2 Sean Brady -172
1725748463807.png
  • Peek (9-22 - Ashimoz (7-1) ...Peek loves standing in the pocket and trading, hits hard and very durable. Basically, the "Red Fox" is willing to do the same, so something has to give. I'll lean with Trevor based un durability.
  • Silva (15-4) hasn't lost in 7 years and is 5-0 in the UFC and may be next in line for a title shot with a big win here. Won't be easy with Andrade the old vet with more UFC fights than any other woman in history. Jessica has won last 2 and a win tonight, she may move close to title contention. Silva is a cardio freak and stays moving constantly...so as long as she don't eat a big clubbing right, she should do enough to carry the cards with even a slight chance at a late finish.
  • I'm a huge fan of Burns, but he may have missed his best chance at 38, his career may be winding down. He's very slick on the ground, so there's always a chance he can catch a sub. Brady is a physical specimen in his prime with only one loss to current champ Belal, so I do expect him to control most of the fight and probably win by decision.

Fight Of The Night: Jessica Andrade vs Natalia Silva

The co-main event between fellow Brazilians Natalia Silva and Jessica Andrade delivered on all the action, with Silva earning the biggest win of her career. Using her speed and striking, Silva kept Andrade at bay with her quick speed and striking, pulling further ahead as the fight wore on. Despite Andrade landing some significant strikes in each round, Silva's durability kept her in the fight, leaving it in the hands of the scorecards. Silva's unanimous decision victory moved her UFC record to 6-0, solidifying her as a threat to the top flyweight contenders. As the division heats up, fans can look forward to exciting matchups throughout the rest of the year.

Performance Of The Night: Cody Durden

Cody Durden secured a second-round submission win over Matt Schnell with an anaconda choke after a fast-paced, action-packed first round. Despite taking the fight on just four days' notice, Durden skillfully countered Schnell's takedown and locked in the choke. This victory is a solid rebound for Durden following a knockout loss, improving his record to 5-2 in his last seven bouts as he eyes a return to the rankings.

Performance Of The Night: Steve Garcia [Video]

Steve Garcia notched his fifth consecutive finish after weathering a rough start with Kyle Nelson, who controlled him on the ground early on. But once Garcia turned the tide, he unleashed a barrage of elbows, leading to another stoppage for Garcia. The 32-year-old has now secured five straight stoppage victories, including two this year, moving him closer to a Top 15 matchup.

Durden performance was especially good considering he took the fight on 4 days notice! Garcia looked good, but Nelson wasn't much resistance the way it looked. Silva looked good and Andrade kept moving forward regardless, but I wouldn't say it was a great fight, just probably the best on a so-so card.
