I may age myself here but I thought it was only called Patriots Day after the Marathon bombingsThe Red Sox’ record on Patriots’ Day is 70-53.
That’s from an article written last Patriots Day.
I believe it started once Tom Brady was draftedI may age myself here but I thought it was only called Patriots Day after the Marathon bombings
This has nothing to do with the Sox play - but, funny story, my dad used to bring me and my next door neighbor who was one grade above me to Patriots training camp every year. He absolutely loved Brady and always said he would be the next big thing. We, as children laughed whenever he'd say it. But he stuck to his guns and followed him all over the field. He is not a gambler but shit, he called that one. Brady was 4th on the depth chart and almost got cut til Kraft stepped inI believe it started once Tom Brady was drafted
Interesting. Did not know that. I thought it started after the Bombings. Guess it just wasn't talked about as much around here

Twink I grew up doing Easter morning service in a coat and tie starting at maybe 7 yo....haven't done that in 3+ decades but I now feel like it should be required to watch the pizza clip on Patriots Day. Serious religion started that day.'Here comes the pizza': Inside the greatest throw in MLB history
In 2007, lifelong Red Sox fan Dan Kelly went to Fenway with his wife for a typical Boston game. Three hours later, he was escorted out by security and will forever be known as the Pizza Chucker.www.espn.com
