I am liking Spurs and Newcastle United and parlay Spurs+Arsenal+Chelsea+MU.

first games are a usual no go, more often than not, with new signings and some cases, new manager.
pre-season games are non-competitive, so are a poor yardstick to base form.

just an opinion...

with the way things are shaking up i think Fulham +1.5 is worth a punt. They are slowly rebuilding under Sanchez whereas Arsenal are going the other way. But like wuntun said, 1st game of the season, the first serious match for teams and new players to get to know each other. One thing is for sure though i will not be playing Man City this entire year at all.

Be careful with Spurs. They have a tough fixture at Sunderland to open the season.

Keane has done a solid job at the Stadium of Light, and the crowd will be pumped for the first game of the new season and first game back in the Premiership as well.

GC, no doubt what Keane did for them last season. But this is Sunderland man. I will be surprised if they won 10 games this season :36_11_6: After all, The gasp between Sunderland and Spurs is too far apart :)

Stranger things have happened on opening day, but i tell you something, don't underestimate Arsenal this season, it will only take them out of the limelight and help put the heat on the others especially on my beloved spurs as we are expected to take their 4th spot. I have a feeling they will surprise most and sneak under the radar and possibly even claim 3rd.
Liverpool are overrated season after season to challenge for the title, and i think again they will fall short. Their outlay has been humongous, 2nd only to Man U, Torres a class talent undoubtably, but most spanish who come to the english top flight do not adapt well and the ones who have in recent years are Fabregas, Arteta, Alonso and possibly Garcia off the top of my head. Rafa has also signed pace in Babel and Vironin, but as with last season, squad rotation did the team and new players no favours in the early season and only benefited them late on when they appeared one of the freshest, but by then, they were out of the running for everything bar CL.
Anyways, regarding Fulham, i hatve Sanchez, he's a truly vile manager in my eyes. He offers little in team morale and his man management skills are truly awful. He has spent alot of Al Fayeds money this summer, most notably £6m on Kamara from West Brom. Overvalued to say the least, he had an ok season when West brom were previously in the premiership, and where he may have been electric in the Championship, he will fall short imo this season. One of their signings i would like to see close up is David Healy, cracking striker of the ball, untried in the premiership though so lets see what happens.

If you asked me now if its worth taking some on Arsenal -1.5 @ 2.15 or -1.25 @ 1.8 ....i would say a hands down yes and for those who really think players like Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb, Rosicky, Toure, Eboue, Sagna, Gallas, Adebayour, v.Persie(remember him?!) form the makeup of a poor team based on last season, you don't know what you are talking about...great young team who achieved more than anyone would expect, but fans being fans would undoubtably and unfairly expected more, they know they will get it this season. A season playing together at the average team age of 23 or so is what will give them their 2nd or 3rd spot this season and really challenge for the title possibly the season after.

...but its all talk talk right now, we still got a month to go.

agreed with your view on Arsenal and Liverpool. Actually Arsenal will be better off without Henry. I will wait for your view on the Spur.
