Drew Brees Injury

Saints coach Sean Payton indicated Drew Brees may need extra rest this week after taking a big hit to his shoulder Week 2 against the Bucs.
"We'll see how he's feeling, coming along," Payton said. Brees admitted the shoulder hindered him on deep throws against the Bucs, but he was not favoring the shoulder on Monday in the locker room. He may see limited practice reps this week, but it would be a shock if he does not play Week 3 against the Panthers. Sep 21 - 1:11 PM

saints in big trouble. very ruben amaro like the way they have refused to draft an heir apparent to a guy who has clearly been declining.

(1 hr ago) An MRI revealed that Saints quarterback Drew Brees hasn't sustained a severe shoulder injury, but his ability to suit up Sunday at Carolina is contingent upon his response to treatment this week, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Brees' diagnosis appears to improve his recovery timetable, but his practice participation, or lack thereof, will ultimately determine whether he hands off quarterback duties in Week 3. If he takes a seat, Luke McCown is present to direct the Saints' offense.

(15 mins ago) Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been diagnosed with a bruised rotator cuff, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports. Fortunately for Brees, he avoided a torn rotator cuff, but the famed Dr. James Andrews is expected to examine MRI results in order to confirm the extent of the injury. With treatment on tap this week, it's unclear if Brees will be able to practice, but an absence would place Luke McCown under center for the Saints.

and by that Dwow I mean that the draftes have been AWFUL, but they have taken shots. BUT when you have a top 5 guy for so long, you typically don't take QBs in rd 1.

Point being, it aint as easy as what you are saying. Plus, they kinda tried here and there.

OUT as we all know

I actually like the points now

Luke is more than serviceable

it is the same team
