Don't think this is a week I take a lot of chances. I do not follow Dll and being the regular season finale for everyone, a person who doesn't follow the teams and/or storylines or who needs what for the playoffs sounds like a stay away. I just look at the Massey/Reddit/S&P+ numbers, compare to the MB release and play anything that looks like it's off. With that said, I sure hope they release lines early morning tomorrow because it just gets too busy for them and for everyone I assume trying to take Dll games when so much of everything else is getting ready to start.

One last shot at glory? Being MB posted ZERO DII playoff games last year, this very well could be it for the DII betting season.

I tried to focus more on the noon and 1:00 slate this week, as it seems MB gives a little more time to them before they are locked. At least they were last Saturday. The games later on in the day, who the hell knows.

I would love to know the behind the scenes at a place like MyBookie. Are the Dll lines and when they get released dependent on when a certain person shows up for work? There were weeks when I would get out of bed before 7am eastern and there were early Dll lines up and then they had ran through all of them by 9am. The last several weeks it's getting to be, what I forget exactly, like 9am and later before they start.

The one time I chatted with them about the Dll games coming down so quick they said something about a 'system fresh' or something. I don't know. Would be informative to talk to somebody that worked there to know how and why it happens like it does.

Of course there are probably like 10 people in the world that bet these games? LOL

Like S--k said, this week could be tricky, trying to figure out motivation, and how teams safely in the playoffs treat these games.

Bentley, for example, clinched a playoff spot last week. They have no shot to host a playoff game and this game really serves no purpose for them. Now with smaller rosters, you can't just rest your whole team. Their goal should just be get out of Dodge with no injuries.

So having said, these two teams played earlier on the year with Bentley winning 41-34 in OT. Massey has Bentley -20.5 here. I would want no part of laying that, but we won't likely have a line anyway.

But that's just some things we have to negotiate this week. Also alot of rematches Saturday.

Obviously somebody bets them or they wouldn't offer them? But the way they put them up, it's like they don't want you to bet them. So why even bother putting them up?

I don't know, but next week we need to summon all MyBookie account holders to message them and request Dll playoff games!

Franklin Pierce looks really safe as a ML bet.

Ferris/Davenport- Over 62.5 Massey looks ok.

Edinboro/Millersville. Millersville is 0-10. Last year they were 0-10 going into this game and beat Edinboro. Edinboro off a huge upset of Slippery Rock. Revenge game for them?

Slippery Rock/Bloomsburg Slippery Rock likely still makes the playoffs with a win, even though they've been hugely disappointing. Bloomsburg is fiery and I think has a BIG shot to win outright as a 14.5 dog. If we get a line on this game. I'm taking the points with Bloomsburg.

The Massey line of Lenoir Rhyne -11.5, whatever MB might translate that into their ML seems too high vs Catawba? Reddit LR-3 and S&P has it 3.5

Now, historically speaking, this game has not been close since 2017. But.......LR has been really good over those years, most years 10+ wins, every year winning record, 8+ win type team. Interestingly enough, LR is 5-5 this year, very rare; and the last time they did not have a winning record, is the year that Catawba last beat them in 2017.

So historically there is justification for such a large spread. This year though? Not like I know, but seems reasonable to question.

Indiana/Kutztown- PSAC championship. Both teams safely in. Kutztown dominated the east. Tricky read for me. Indiana might be able to have some succes through the air IF their o-line can hold up. I think I lean over 51.5

Assumption/West Chester. Assumption probably needs a win here to remain in the playoffs. WC is from a better league and is favored in Massey. I'd lean WC just seem more battle tested vs better competition.

This made my spread is too high list. On Massey that is.

Looks like Kutztown scores lots of pts typically, so if Indiana PA can help out, that Over does have some appeal.

My line is too high on Massey:

Bentley-20.5
Slippery Rock -14.5
Lenoir Rhyne -11.5
S. Conn -7.5
Central Wash -17.5
UIndy -20.5
CSU-Pueblo-16.5
Angelo St -6.5
W Alabama -5.5
Bemidji St -14.5
Black Hills St -9.5
Ouachita -8.5

Did you say Northern Michigan is on the new coach? And they won last week. Maybe all those OTs drained them a bit, but the -5.5 that Massey has looks low compared to Reddit -15.5 and S&P -10.6

Wayne State (MI) beat them the last 2 years, probably why Massey lower

My Favorite ML plays under 10 points:

Northern Michigan -5.5
Lock Haven -6.5
Thomas More -8.5

Teams I will bet ML if no spread :

West TX A&M +5.5
NE Oklahoma +5.5
Henderson St +8.5
Western Oregon +17.5

Yeah. Coach was suspended but then got fired before the game last Saturday.

Yes very emotional draining game. Letdown is in effect. Just hoping it doesn't matter because Wayne is so bad.

Was just looking at that Lock Haven. Gannon has 1 win all year and it was vs Slippery Rock - go figure! Wonder why Massey low on that Lock Haven line?

S&P+ likes Augustana to win 28.7-27.2 over Wayne (NE). Massey shows them +2.5 dog so MB probably +$ML. Not sure if they would be a good pick though

Working on the over/unders now. Did ok with them last week. I'm not the biggest fan of them in general, but I know every game MB posts will have them.

Augie got bludgeoned by Mankato on the ground last week. Wayne is playing good ball. I like Wayne here.

Is Central Washington not playing for anything or will Western Oregon need this one more?

What about Central Oklahoma at Mizzou Western? Seems like Central Oklahoma is pretty good for a .500 team. Thinking maybe one of the safer -$ML options.

This is for the Lone Star conference title. Yes they are both on the Lone Star conference. Lol. W Oregon highly undervalued by Massey.

Probably a 99% chance they rematch in the playoffs next week. So honestly I don't know really how this plays out. I'm not sure if W Oregon can move into a hosting spot even if they win.

Just not enough west coast Dll teams, no other round 1 options for playoff committee I assume

[/QUOwon.

UCO was preseason top 5, so 5-5 is a disappointment. I've really struggled to figure the middle of the MIAA this year and probably sitting this one out.

Yes. The 1-4 seeds get home games. 5-8 go wherever they are closest too. So 1 could play 5 instead of 8.

Also probably the D2 game of the year is Saturday.

Pitt St/NW Mizzou St (at Sporting KC field)

first time since 1986 the Wolves have won six in a row during a single season - It's the first time the Wolves have won eight games in a season since going 9-2 during the 2009 season.

Nice season for Western Oregon

WT does look like a decent 'upset' candidate at home hosting the slumping Angelo State. Angelo it looks has only beat bad teams and played bad vs the good ones.

2 Championship rematches:

Johnson C. Smith
Virginia Union -9.5. 53.5

VUU won 28-10 in reg season.

NC Pembroke. -4.5. 45.5
North Greenville

NG won 20-7 in reg season.

I just noticed something on Directv. I go to the guide and see a channel 210-1 say "SIAC Football Championship" which is Dll. But the bigger thing is...what is channel 210? Not sure how many people have Directv any more, but they have this channel 210-1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 and -7 listed as ESPNPlus. I'm 99.9% sure that is new this week. Most people stream espn+ so no big deal, but if you pay for espn+ they only let you stream on 3 devices, so having a real channel for some games is kind of big deal for me. There are times on a Saturday that with 8 TVs I can only watch 6 because I can't get more than 6 FCS games on ESPN+ (I pay for two subscriptions to have 6 rather than just 3 streams). Tenn Tech - UK is on there and then some FBS games. Anyway...interesting and Dll related, as if we are going to watch Albany State vs Benedict

I know you have kind of liked JC Smith at times this year. I see Pembroke had a rough game vs Greenville last time out. Any opinion in these? ESPN just mentioned the RB for Virginia Union on the game tonight; Curtis Allen - 2098 yards and 27 TDs in 10 games!

Allen had a ssn low 108y the first game vs JC Smith, they had all 4 of the team's TDs

He'll win the Harlon Hill as D2s best player. (D2 people don't like it if you call it the Heisman equivalent)

I like JC Smith, but VUU is just better.

I'd play Greenville, but won't have money on it.

Fun trivia question - do you know who Hill's college QB was?

Honestly. No. I looked it up. Lol. But funny you should mention Goober. I was flipping through the TV today. And recognized Goober in an old Gunsmoke episode and looked up to see what his real name was.
