Divisional Round

Reasoning for Donks if you could?
GL this weekend Cap

I talked a little in the discussion thread about this one.. And I can also for sure see how someone lands on Buffalo as well.

Buffalo has struggled against heavy blitz teams (Atlanta, Miami, Houston games) and those that are patient, rush 4 and can get to the QB while also sitting with two high or quarters in coverage (Cleveland, Philly games). Denver is more of the latter. Buffalo is an offense that wants to hit home runs over singles. And Allen can get impatient with the 8, 10, 12 play drives and with holding the ball too long. I want to reiterate that I fucking hate Denver and Buffalo. It pains me that someone has to win. But I think Denver's D is a lot better than they have gotten credit for. They played a mildly better SOS than Buffalo as well and since week 2, nobody has sniffed 100 yards rushing against them. Not Saquon, not Josh (don’t call me Brandon) Jacobs, not anyone. Cook might get one explosive play out there like Jacobs did, but I am seeing a lot more of what we saw against Philly than what we saw against most teams. And yes, I think there's a big difference between last year to this year. And until Josh Allen goes on the road and wins a big playoff game (non Wild Card Weekend), I reserve my right to doubt him.

I think there's a decided advantage in rest, homefield and coaching here as well. I don't think Sean Payton (and Mike McDonald as well) is going to put his QB in situations that are dangerous.

Someone's gotta win.. I think it's Denver.

Houston/NE under 41 (-120)

Going to wait out the Sunday night affair. Full disclosure I lean Rams despite the weather.

Here for discussion/reasoning if anyone wants
Crap. I’m in all these plays which hopefully doesn’t jinx you. I’ve been dreadful this year.

49ers hate being healthy at any point in any season. That team is snakebit on that front.

Good luck Cap

Fixed it for you. They will always be broken as long as the practice under electrical lines next to a power station. Everyone sees the odd ball looking families who live near power lines in their towns. So the 9ers thought it would be a good idea to practice next to a giant sub station.

Agree on both sides, bigly on Denver. Apart from all your good points, the spot is just terrible for Buffalo. Denver should be -3 IMO

Good luck today cap.

Who’s Slap?

Slap was a legend of the college bball forum and diehard Providence fan. For several years I worked the media table at Friar home games and Slap would come down, about 6 beers in, and just rant about the Friars. He loved the CTG community and he got really close to @B.A.R. and @HUNT over time. He passed away a few years ago far too young. Good soul. Good human. Loved his Friars

Yessir!

And slap loved @Capaholic !

He was always texting Hunt and myself about spotting Cap on press row at the games.

God bless Captain Slap!

Came around to this side. I don’t think Denver has a Texans level defense but I do think its on par with what has thrown wrenches in the Bills offense at times. Also expect Bo Nix to be unleashed in the running game.

Thanks for sharing. I didn’t spend a lot of time in the Cbb forum until the madness. I vaguely remember him. Sounds like a great guy.
