This honesty was a big play for me a few weeks ago.. but two issues we have here...

1. First game back from the break.

2. Suspensions on the Detroit end.

We all remember last year's terrific playoff series.

Detroit certainly has -- and they have demolished New York twice in Detroit this year.

The scene shifts to MSG tonight.

Line opened low, -3 on Monday. I figured 4-5 and that's where it moved to 24 hours ago.

I see a clear motivation angle tonight for New York. I just hate the two issues listed at the top.

Thoughts!?

I agree. I think Detroit can beat them in this year's ECFs.

I just see this as a prideful game for the Knicks.

That's exactly where I am too ..Cant make pre game bets after a long lay off . .
Hope the Knicks win bc they're our team in our family lol .., but very tempted to take the Pistons in game , especially if I can get 5.5+ and better ml .
No rush to hit the confirm button thou 😜

I'd be crushed if the Pistons beat my Knicks in the ECF ...🤬🤬🤬

Betting wise I'd rather have the Pistons at much better prices in to make the finals parlay wheels ..Knicks have been chalky all season , if my memory serves me right Detroit was as high as +1050 to win the EC🤔..

Holding Pistons +950/900/800/through +450. While don't think I have anything better than +400 on Knicks.

I hope we see these two teams again.

The NBA isn't what it used to be but that series last spring brought back all the "feels" for me.

My first professional team was the Pistons. I started watching them in 1987 a bit but the 1988 playoffs is what hooked me. I remember watching Isiah on the broken ankle in Game 6 (they had that game and the ship if not for a phantom foul) and was outside trying to recreate some of those ridiculous shots at 8 years old...

Hooked.

We all know the Bad Boys era. Beautiful :)

We had two Pistons/Knicks series in the early 90s. The second one was the passing of the torch - deciding Game 5 at the Garden was tough n physical. After the game, Laimbeer basically told Ewing/Oakley etc to take care of business vs those Bulls..

New York immediately won Game #1 before losing in 7 games. We all know how that series went over the next few years. So, my Stons started to fade and I needed a secondary team --

Enter the Knicks. I became a Knicks fan the day after Game 5 vs Detroit in 1992. I lived and died with Starks, Ewing and company. They were Detroit to me.

So, last spring was like a revival in every way!

I've stayed a Knicks supporter since and have really loved this renaissance here the past few years. That being said, they are the enemy 4 times a year plus this May!

I hand several Detroit bets I played last June...
And one more in November...
I have one more Eastern Conference bet somewhere from the summer. Similar # I believe...

Detroit leads 45-39 with 4:12 left in the first half...

New York is 1-14 from three point range!

Cade Cunningham played the first 16 min without a rest. He shot the ball 16 times! Crazy. He subbed out and Detroit increased their lead by 5 points as I type this.

There are my two notes you might have missed.

You're spot on.

This matchup has gotten worse this season for New York.

The end of this half really shows you why Detroit wins a lot of games! The little things matter. And Detroit wins the last minute it quarters and halves A LOT.

Another example...

62-60 after a Knicks run.

New York on a 3-1 break to tie the game. Instead of good fundamental basketball the Knicks (Towns I think) just tosses up a mini alley oop. No score, fastbreak the other way and a 3 ball. Five point turnaround.

We fell in love with basketball during the best era imo ..

Those bad boy Pistons were my favorite non Knicks team ever. Loved the ultra physical aggressiveness , psychological warfare, selfless smart ball those Pistons teams played with.

Betting wise that 03/2004 team is my biggest NBA futures and postseason series cashes...Started betting Detroit futures before Christmas . ...If memory serves me correct they won like 16 of 19 or 20 to close out the season...Sheed trade was huge at the deadline .


That Knicks /Pistons series last season was fantastic for the game ..Reminded me of the real 🤣basketball we grew up watching

My very first thought was ECF bets.

You know, I had that Pacers +5000 last year and although I made money off it, I had to work very hard due to OKC lol.

OKC makes things very interesting!

Hope Cade wins at least one championship ( not at the Knicks expense thou 😜)

Man...

Denver can give them all they can handle.

That OKC defense though is what makes the difference.

I need to watch Houston vs OKC and cap it.

As awesome as SAS are vs OKC I think inexperience will show in the playoffs.

Again, I think they had 2 trips to the line in the last 6:38 with the bonus. That's just not recognizing the situation.

I'd do the bet again. Especially with a guy like Brunson on the team. Didn't work out unfortunately.

Playoffs are a completely different game.
Thunder are going to be super tough IF they're healthy .Have OKC in futures wheels but would be way better off with Nuggets/Wolves/Spurs/Rockets/Suns ...Combined with NHL Stanley cup finals teams

Nuggets health is a concern too ...
