Dell Technologies Discussion

Head of Alabama Department of Decision-Making
Gave everything back last week with a 1-4 record. None of them were even that close, although Webb was leading Fleetwood going into Sunday but shot over par.

Dell Technologies is played at TPC Boston as it has been since the inception of the playoffs (although it was known as the Deutsche Bank before last year) so course history is a decent capping tool. Tournament runs Friday-Monday, so an extra day of rest for the players and an extra day of capping for us. Rickie Fowler (oblique injury) and Francesco Molinari (rest, I think) have already WD. Field is 70 with no alternates, so only 68 golfers pegging it up. Rory is back, unsure on Stenson.

No matchups yet, looking at Spieth, Reed, Casey, Cantlay, and Adam Scott for one and done. I have to hustle these last 3, picked Rahm last week and he MC.

liking the Made in Denmark comments on page three of the article although I disagree with some of his picks. I do NOT like betting the to win "chalk" BUT Thorbjorn Olesen @ 8-1 is the obvious favorite playing on his "home course" and fighting for a Euro Tour Ryder Cup spot. I think Lee Slattery @ 50-1 is worth a "sprinkle" with his tied 10th @ Nordia Masters [-8] and tied 4th last week @ Czech Masters [-15]. also long hitting Gavin Green off his solo 3rd @ Czech Masters [-17] is 60-1 :shake:

Dell Tech "to win" bets (bet/return)

Kevin Na 75-1 (7/532)

Matchups:

Koepka +125 vs DJ
Spieth EV vs Rory
Reed -105 vs Hideki

Going back and forth between Spieth and Reed this week for one and done. Strategy tells me that I can burn Reed now and Spieth is still a good pick in one of the last two, but I just have a feeling about Spieth for some reason. I see no reason to not take Koepka right now. He's dialed in. Was looking to fade Stenson and Snedeker, but didn't like the prices/matchups. May revisit

well the first round leader Justin Rose with a 6 birdie NO bogie [-6] "WHO let the DOGS OUT ???" after that with Abraham Ancer @ 200-1 and Russell Knox @ 150-1 both at [-5] and Gary Woodland @ 75-1, Beau Hossler @ 150-1, Keegan Bradley @ 80-1 and Chris Kirk @ 150-1 [-4]. some of this weeks low odds players sucking eggs with last years here and this season at Bridgestone winner Justin Thomas [+2] 2nd favorite after Dustin Johnson @ 10-1, Jason Day [+5] @ 15-1 and Jon Rahm [+2] @ 25-1

"mixed bag" so far in my four tourney match plays
Cameron Smith +125 [-2] vs Matt Kuchar [even] two up
Brooks Koepka +110 [-2] vs Dustin Johnson [-3] one down
Aaron Wise +125 [even] over Zack Johnson [+2] two up
Tony Finau +125 [-2] over Justin Rose [-6] four down

got to thinking that Justin Thomas CAN shoot "wicked low" WHEN he gets it going and he has overcome some bad starts this season. his adjusted "to win" odds @ 50-1 worth a $10 for $510 "sprinkle". only 8 back of the leader Rose :)

well TWO [-8] "bomber" 2nd rounds by Webb Simpson with the lead at tourney [-11] and Tyrrell Hatton tied 2nd at [-10] along with 1st round leader Justin Rose [-4]. Tommy Fleetwood with [-6] for [-8] solo 4th then two of my to win "cats & dogs" Cameron Smith [-5] and Abraham Ancer [-2] tied 5th at [-7]. really anyone's tourney with nine more players at [-6] just five off the lead. Justin Thomas [-2] for [even] made the cut along with Jon Rahm [-2] for [-4] BUT Jason Day [+2] for [+7] a "bottom feeder" CUT

"mixed bag" in my tourney match plays. with the CUT at [+2] at least I have one winner so far with Aaron Wise [+2] for [+2] over Zack Johnson [+1] for [+3] CUT and Cameron Smith [-5] for [-7] five up on Matt Kuchar [-2] for [-2] BUT Brooks Koepka [-2] for [-4] one down to Dustin Johnson [-2] for [-5] and Tony Finau [-3] for [-5] five down to Justin Rose [-4] for [-10]

Dechambeau playing with Tiger shoots 63. These young kids have no fear of the legend.

Dechambeau playing with Tiger shoots 63. These young kids have no fear of the legend.

looks like it is gonna be TIGHT going into Monday. Bryson Dechambeau with that one eagle, seven birdie one bogie [-8] third round in the clubhouse at [-12] current one behind leader Abraham Ancer [-6] for [-13] thru #15. Tyrrell "hot head" Hatton a double on #12 take him to [-1] for [-11] after his [-8] Saturday. looks like whoever can shoot a "bomber" Monday WINS

note: good thing for me that Zack Johnson was a CUT Saturday in his tourney match play vs Aaron Wise. "Wise Guy" shoots [+6] for tourney [+8] Sunday bottom of the leader board

Tommy Fleetwood 35-1 / 50-1 [even/-8] T-12th (solo 2nd US Open [+2])
Marc Leishman 60-1 / 60-1 [-2/-8] T-12th (solo 2nd Byron Nelson [-20])
Brice Garnett 500-1 / field 14-1 [-6/-8] T-12th (WIN Corales [-18])

also "of interest'
Brooks Koepka 12-1 / 60-1 [-3/-7] T-16th
Tiger Woods 20-1 / 80-1 [-3/-7] T-16th
Webb Simpson 40-1 / 150-1 [+5/-6] T-25th (was 2nd round leader)
Dustin Johnson 8-1 / 250-1 [+1/-4] T-33rd

CAN "Dr Strange Club" DeChambeau WIN B2B ???

Loved Bryson's quotes after the round. He takes a lot of heat, but I really like the guy. Also team MAGA.

three high odds final round match plays [3rd round/tourney scores] (bet/return)
Brice Garnett +165 [-6/-8] over Beau Hossler -185 [-3/-9] << (30/79.50)
Kyle Stanley +185 [-5/-10] over Rory McIlroy -215 [-5/-9] << (27/76.95)
Emiliano Grillo +150 [-7/10] over Justin Rose -170 [-1/-11] << (34/85)

NOT going to fool with Abraham Ancer +165 [-6/-13] vs Bryson DeChambeau -185 [-8/-12]. got enough riding on an Ancer "to win" bet :nonofinger:

well looks like DeChambeau just won the tourney with Ancer's bogie on #11. now a three shot lead over him and 4 over four others stilll on the course. "Dr Strange Club" headed for a HUGE FedEx payday two weeks from now in Georgia

If you didn't see Tiger's first and last holes you would never have known he was playing with the reigning PGA and two time US Open Champ, who beat Tiger by three shots.

WOW!!! Ancer costing himself a LOT of money with B2B bogies on #11 & #12. now tied 2nd with 6 other players. he needs to get at least solo 2nd for the big big money :hang:

and NOW yet ANOTHER bogie on #14 with the three putt :thumbsdown8:

everybody ready to go out and get all same length clubs ? what a couple of weeks for DeChambeau

everybody ready to go out and get all same length clubs ? what a couple of weeks for DeChambeau

just freeking UNREAL!!! DeChambeau with almost a re-run of last week. [-8] after two rounds @ Northern Trust WIN [-18] NOW [-3] after two rounds WIN [-16] @ Dell Tech

AND I NEVER checked his adjusted "to win" in EITHER ONE after 2nd round!!!:golffrustrated:

after Dell Technologies FedEx Championship points (change from the after Northern Trust)
#1 Bryson DeChambeau 5617 (same)
#2 Dustin Johnson 3289 (same)
#3 Justin Rose 3139 (up 3 places)
#4 Tony Finau 3169 (same)
#5 Justin Thomas 3084 (down 2 places)
#6 Brooks Koepka 2551 (down 1 place)
#7 Bubba Watson 2277 (same)
#8 Cameron Smith 2231 (up 8 places)
#9 Phil Mickelson (up 1 place)
#10 Jason Day (down 2 places)

DeChambeau not quite a "lock" for the $10 million final prize BUT with over a 2000 point lead he would have to DUMP in the BMW and TOUR to LOSE and someone WIN twice

my of interest "cats & dogs" that made the BMW next week
CT Pan #33 up 39 places (from #72)
Tyrrell Hatton #54 up 17 places (from #71)
Abraham Ancer #56 up 36 places (from #92)
Brice Garnett #63 up 18 places (from #81)
Keith Mitchell #66 up 14 places (from #78)

Ryan Moore MISS @ #71 down 11 places
