After Chris Paul agreed to opt-in on contract, Clippers are trading All-Star guard to the Houston Rockets, league sources tell @TheVertical

Wonder if other FA will want to go east knowing that can't beat warriors, rox, spurs, doubtful to take less money to join them unless a veteran who has made enough cash and wants a ring.

People saying harden and cp3 both need the ball all the time acting like the two teams in the finals didn't have 2 ball dominate players

LeBron and KyrieSteph and KD

Didn't Rockets trade their first rounded in 2017 to the Lakers? How can they trade their 2018 pick as well???

Also, not sure why Rockets agreed to this deal. If CP3 was going to sign with them anyway, why give first rounded and few more assets for a player that can easily walk away after one year???
I also not sure how Harden and CP3 can play together, since both effective with ball in their hands and both want everything to go through them...

Would love to see the Rockets find a third team to add some spice for a Paul George acquisition. The Ryan Anderson and Ariza contracts offer some ammo, but they don't have any realistically appealing assets for Indy besides Capela who is redundant with Turner.

I'd expect another domino to fall with the Rockets, Morey knows another move would truly shift the needle the way they need if they want to actually compete against GS.

wonder where Blake goes now

Ive seen that hes a backup plan for the Celtics if one of Hayward or George dont work

Completely different w/ Steph/KD. Both Steph and KD play extremely well without the ball. One game it was said that Lebron dribbled 10 times more than KD did in that finals.

Lebron, CP3, Harden lead the league in dribbling. It's an issue, for sure. But it's a better problem to have than not. Harden and him will essentially take turns wearing the leather off of the ball. Hate that style of basketball and it's failing. 2014 Spurs, 15-17 Warriors, that's how it's played now.

The fact is that for 48 minutes a game D'Antoni will have among the best in the league running his offense. Harden ran out of gas and the Clippers had terrible +/- without CP3 on the court. If they both play about 35 minutes a game there should be no time in a game without one on the court. They can easily take turns watching the other one and spot up from 3.

Rockets should make a push for George. He wouldn't leave once he sees his paycheck. No one wants that evil California government robbing them of their hard earned money.

2 postseason failures on the same roster. Go figure.

Will never forgive Jimmy for his most recent Game 6 performance.

Dubs got the next few 'ships locked up unless the Spurs or Cavs can get a pair of upper-tier players,

i.e PG and something else to make a ripple this coming season.

Yes, but like you said their minutes dont have to overlap fully
If D'Antoni is smart one of them is on at all times

Plus both are great catch and shoot 3s so they still contribute without the ball

Rockets are a playoff team, no doubt but they aren't a Championship team.

The league has officially changed though and it's all forced by the Dubs.

The 'Banana Boat' is in the realms of possibility now.
