One that is puzzling Brar is the odds on your Canucks. Are they figuring Sundin is going over there, 23.5 -1...In comparison, two teams I think should be way better than Vancouver (IMO anyways)- Calgary is at 29.5-1 and Edm is at 38.75-1

really surprised to see Tampa where they are... especially considering the division they play in and the additions they made

dang..i'm also surprised to see the hawks so damn low...they are goign to be a decent team this year, and the loss of lang isn't going to be that bad for them..campbell, kane, toews, havlat, keith, huet, seabrook, sopel, ladd, sharp...=) they shuolda definately be a little higher than they are now; not saying they are goign to win a cup, but a little more respect would be nice...my leafs.. =(

ya the line on the canucks is a complete joke, they are going to be pretty brutal this year. Only way they will win games is 1-0 or 2-0 they have no scoring.

I have a feeling Edmonton is going to do well this year, they played well and if the young kids can keep it up they have a real chance. Calgary is also way better then the canucks.

this line is waaaaay to low thats for sure.

I like Edmonton too, plus they have the potential to make a big trade. They have depth at center ice and thats always valuable....I wish Montreal was a little more than 11-1. And certainly will drop a few dollars on the Phoenix Coyotes.

I am stumped that the Canucks are 16/1.

Another one I am stumped on is the Minnesota Wild are 12/1. They didn't add a lot besides Nolan to that roster.

Dont see how Pittsburgh is more favoured than Montreal. Much different team this year. Long year last year, nagging injuries not getting the fullest time to heal, less depth, I think Pittsburgh ought to be around Phillys level at 15-1.

was gonna post in gurv's thread, but you guys are canucks so i figured yyour more likely to respond. pitt favored over habs, in my opinion is rediculous. they lost half their team from last year, and while the habs havent improved dramatically, i think we all expect them to compete for the ne division.

i hate to be a homer. and honestly i try to be unbiased as possible but i think the bruins can win the division this year. i was talking to my friends father the awhile ago at the b's rookie camp practice. and we concluded, really, that the bruins could finish anywhere from 2-12 in the east. i know that seems rediculous, but the east is VERY wide open this year. ill obviously be pulling for the b's, but it is tough to distiguish where the team turns this year. its either very good, or very dissapointing in my opinion. so as a recap, haha im drunk, i think the b's finish either 2-4 in the east or miss the playoffs finishing 9-13 in the east.

I wrote a while ago in my 2008-2009 outlook thread that Boston is my pick to finish 1st in the east and i still believe that. Montreal has a much harder schedule this year, are not bound to be so lucky with injuries this year (if any of these defensemen go down Hamrlik, Komisarek or Markov, the free fall might start) Plus the habs will have to put up with a lot of crap this year -special uniforms, the team itself will be filmed constantly for a special documentary and so on. Overall I think the habs have as good a shot at any to win the cup but as far as regular season success like last year, I doubt it, and I dont think it will be a priority. Everyone expects they will score a lot of goals, but the focus will be on bettering the teams overall defense. The habs gave up too many goals and shots 5on5 last year, they have to lower the 5on5 goals against them by 10-15 goals if they want to get to that number where itll make them a serious contender and if the coach has any brains, this will be top priority. Good luck to your bruins tigercub:cheers:
