I know the Minutemen are a pathetic 2-22 over the last 2 years...so why only catching 7? I think maybe coach Don Brown sees great improvement with his squad which returns 15 starters. Their defense played well most of last season and the offense should be improved with the Clemson QB transfer with the very long name starting behind an experienced o-line that returns 4 starters.

Matt Rhule may have failed in the NFL(Panthers), but his rep for building college teams, (Baylor, Temple), bodes well for the Huskers. GT-transfer QB Jeff Sims should pay dividends right away as dude can run & throw well. MIN returns many key pieces from 9-win '22 team boasting a top-10 defense and may control line-play, but NEB should make a few big plays to keep it close and cover this key number.

• HAW coach Timmy Chang has really motivated this program in a short time. He has a rising stud in QB Brayden Schager and with a game already in the books, this looks like a great spot vs a rebuilding Cardinal team with a new coach. Not to mention it's on the island and we get a FG.

• The absence of Harbaugh is less concerning than being without OC Sherrone Moore. MIC is fortunate to get the rebuilding Pirates. However ECU has proved a pesty out versus the big-boys...putting up good fight against S Carolina, NCS and Cincy recently. UM is already dealing with injuries(2 DBs & 2 WRs likely out). ECU plus a bunch!
• This number looks low to me. USF was 1-11 last season, changed coaches and brought in more than 40 transfers. They will need some time to build any continuity. Plus the Hilltoppers return record-setting QB Austin Reed and stub LB Jaques Evans from last years 9-5 team. This has blowout all over it and WKU may cover by the half.

• Dabo's Tigers are loaded again and draw the improved Blue Devils who won 9 games last year and a bowl game...however Duke played ZERO ranked opponents last year. With this being the lone game tonight, I expect Dabo has extra motivation to impress. Sophomore QB Cade Klubnik got his first start in the ACC champ game vs UNC a year ago and delivered(20-24 279 yards) with a 39-10 win. Last years frequent starter DJ Uiagalelei has transferred out so it's Cade's job to lose. Clemson returns key RB Will Shipley(1424 yards / 15 TDs) and top WR Antonio Williams(56 catches for 604 yards). I'll back the over as well with both teams looking to show out, Clemson did lose 4 defensive starters to NFL draft and so far this season ACC teams are 8-3 to the over.
