Tom Thibodeau has signed a contract to become the Timberwolves head coach and President of Basketball Operations.

Thibodeau got what he wanted with a lot of player personnel control a la Stan Van Gundy. Thibodeau is known for his defense and also playing his stars heavier minutes with tighter rotations. The Wolves were 27th in defensive rating last season, so they will almost certainly be increasing in that regard. Karl-Anthony Towns looks like he'll be a superstar in the Thibodeau system.

Not only do I think we will be in the playoffs in 2 years, dare I say we will be in the top 4-5 in the West. Outside shot next year of getting one of the bottom seeds. We'll see. I like the combo of Layden with Tibs too. Finally some decent leadership within this organization.
