Coaching Carousel 2024-2025

Now that Vrabel is off the table and to be honest I really wasn't interested in him or any other defensive coaches the Jets need to beg Ben Johnson and if he says no as would be expected go after Liam Coen, Todd Monken and any other top offensive coaches. No wasting time on trash like Arthur Smith, Rex Ryan, and Aaron Glenn.

I was willing to put up with and accept Vrabel because the other options named are disgustingly bad but now that he's off the table its time for the Jets to realize its not 1950 and hire a top offensive mind. Maybe Ben can be lured by his choice of GM and the promise of no pressure so that he can tank the first season for a QB but if its not him no defensive coaches.

The garbage media pushing Aaron Glenn just makes me hate the idea even more than I already do. Go out and do something right Woody and finally hire a top offensive head coach.

Losing is a disease like syphilis. Just accept it.

What‘s your beef with Glenn? I thought he has his defense performing well after Hutch went down. Not his fault everyone is s injured

I don't want anything to do with Glenn or any other defenisve coordinators. This team has done almost nothing but hire DCs as head coach and all its done is fail time and time again.

So the Jets are interviewing Glenn but not Ben Johnson. Now there isn't a chance in hell that Johnson would take the job but to not even request an interview. Also the Jets are interviewing Vance Joseph so they are hell bent on hiring yet another DC when that has failed over and over again.

After one of these bums is hired I'm out altogether on this franchise. That the Jets couldn't even come close to the playoffs with Aaron Rodgers and are almost definitely hiring another defensive head coach I've just reached the breaking point.

The only offensive coach linked to this job so far is Arthur Smith who might as well be a defensive coach since his offenses are consistently trash.

They are interviewing Brian Griese though. No word if his old man is part of the deal or not.

Whats the consensus on Taylor? He's a Husker (one of the toughest MFers Ive ever seen play QB), so I root for him.

Haven't heard that one but did hear they are interviewing Nagy as if he hasn't already shown himself to be a stiff. The only intriguing name I've heard today is Joe Brady but I don't see him getting the job. I'm just waiting on whichever defensive stiff they hire to be done with these losers.

Normally I really enjoy the coaching carousel but I am hating watching this Jets search expecting Rex, Glenn, or Flores who are all completely unacceptable choices.

Ryan Grigson and Anthony Lynn getting interviews with the Jets. They may as well do all the interviews at a local homeless shelter.

Vrabel or Flores would be the best case scenario, and that's boring I know.

Likely only people who take that shit job are Matt Nagy or Anthony Lynn, lol

Saleh just needed to find a competent play caller and prioritize the OL this offseason. They're going backwards - he won 7 games with the Broncos 3rd string QB last year. Had statistically the best defense of all time on a per play basis - and considering their offense was dog shit that's amazing.

He's a better guy than say Flores who is a little whiney bitch. And a better DC.

Rex goes on tv everyday begging for the job. The smart thing to do is hire a good GM and let them bring in the coach but even then it will probably be someone they already work with like a Borgonzi/Nagy combo.

I think its either Rex or Glenn getting the head coach job and thats my walkaway point. Maybe I would feel differently about Rex if BOL let me bet 100 and not 1 dollar on him at 250-1 a few days after Saleh was fired but 250 dollars is not enough for me to put up with that guy.

Saleh was a horror show as a head coach but none of these defensive guys that they are interviewing are any better. I would only interview offensive coaches but that would not include Arthur Smith, Nagy, and Anthony Lynn.

Somehow my guy Bowles survived that shit
Bowles would still be coaching the Jets if his OC hires were anywhere near as good as his ones in Tampa. Canales got a head coaching job and has turned around Bryce Young and Coen is one of my top candidates for the Jets.

Several local media guys are pushing Anthony Lynn as a darkhorse candidate and I would even prefer clown Rex over that joke of a coach.

Honestly, at this point the only 3 guys that I would be excited about would be Ben Johnson, Vrabel or Jon Gruden.

Ben is too smart to come here, and Vrabel is as good as the Pats next head coach by next week.

Gruden compared to the gaggle of fuckin idiots that dipshit Woody Johnson is going to bring in is head and shoulders above anyone else.

Kliff would at least make you interesting

Can you imagine a serious football franchise interviewing at least 2 or 3 coaches who the other 31 teams wouldn’t even consider?

Rivera, Anthony Lynn, Nagy, Arthur Smith?

Shocking they’ve missed the playoffs 14 years in a row

Johnson obviously would be a great choice but there was never a chance, Vrabel would be acceptable to me even though I want a young OC this time around after failing ,big time with defensive guys and absolutely no to Gruden the game has passed him by and his time with the Raiders was disastrous.

At this point I'll take a combo of the Tampa assistant GM who doesn't even have a scouting background and Liam Coen as coach. Just try something different the days of being a team that can't score must end. How many more QBs is this team going to draft and give them no chance being coached by clueless defensive coaches.

LMAO I just saw that the Bears asked the Cowboys for permission to interview Fat Mike

You can't make this shit up

Meanwhile the Patriots will probably set up fake interviews with Ty Law and Vince Wilfork to comply with the bullshit Rooney rule while Vrabel has all but signed his contract.
