Didn't know about the injuries. Really tough breaks for the Terps. Just don't see how Clemson can get up for this one.

MW - Terps now decimated at WR and very thin at RB with the Ross injury. CJ Brown wasn't himself on Saturday, looked slow to react and make his reads etc., don't know if he still has a concussion hangover or how healthy he was overall. Anyway, he got pulled in 2H for Rowe. I hear you about Clemson coming off the shellacking last night, but honestly I don't know how MD will be able to do much offensively and I think Clemson speed and athleticism in their spread sets will give MD problems just like FSU did. I think the loss of Diggs is a huge psychological blow to the Terps and I am not sure how they get up for this game.

Top 2 corners, 3 LBers, 2 WRers, and RB all out vs. clemson, right?
Top two corners Johnson and McDougal are out, LB's Cudjoe-Virgil and Robinson are out, Twine LB questionable, Diggs and Long WR's our for year, and checking status on Brandon Ross No. 1 RB who departed on Saturday for Albert Reid.

If Neutz is playing, I will be on it as well for 2 units. Good luck this week.
Mars you must have been reading my mind, I wanted to ask your thoughts on this game. Glad to see you are leaning that way.

Maryland Coach Randy Edsall said Tuesday that quarterback C.J. Brown suffered an unspecified injury during Saturday’s loss to Wake Forest, one unrelated to the concussion he incurred Oct. 5 against Florida State.
Brown and Caleb Rowe, the team’s No. 2 quarterback for most of the season, were both listed as starting quarterbacks on the depth chart that was released Monday, indicating that Brown’s health took another hit in the loss to the Demon Deacons.
“That is because of health-related issues,” Edsall said during his weekly news conference ahead of Saturday’s home game against No. 9 Clemson. “And what we will do is both guys are cleared, and I’ll take a look this week as we practice and see where we’re at. At the end of the week, as we go into the game, we’ll make a decision to who will be the guy who will go. It wasn’t performance related. It was health related.”
Brown struggled during Maryland’s 34-10 loss to Wake Forest, leading Edsall to insert Rowe early into the second half. Brown had passed all mandatory concussion tests and said he felt “100 percent” during warmups, but absorbed three sacks and several more vicious blows from the Demon Deacons defense.
“Going into the game I felt really good,” Brown said. “Obviously I took some hits on the game early, and Coach made his decision. We’ll go out this week like any other week. I’m still getting treatment on a lot of things. Just trying to take care of my body. That’s the biggest thing. We’re more than halfway through the season. We’ve got a lot of games left. I feel comfortable with my body. I feel good.
“At the beginning of the game I felt 100 percent. I felt really good. I wouldn’t put the team in jeopardy if I wasn’t capable of going out there and helping the team, I wouldn’t be out there.”
Even though doctors cleared Brown, Edsall saw something else entirely unrelated to the concussion, something that told him Maryland’s dual-threat quarterback was struggling to fulfill his assignments.
“What I have to do as a head coach, our doctors and trainers will clear guys to be able to play in the games, but it’s my duty and it’s my obligation to watch all of our players perform in practice, perform in games using my eyesight to see how they’re performing,” Edsall said. “If they’re not performing up to the standards due to health-related issues, I think I owe it to those young man to say, ‘I’m not sure you can end up doing the things you’re capable of doing on the field.’ What I have to do is put someone else in there so not to further risk a young man to injury, even though he’s cleared, knowing what that young man can do, and what I see him doing on the field.”
Brown, who threw for just 137 yards with two interceptions against Wake Forest, declined to specify when asked whether Edsall’s decision was concussion-related, but strongly implied he suffered another injury at BB&T Field.
“The concussion, I passed all those tests,” he said. “I can’t get into injuries and details like that. I’m sure you guys ask Coach about that, so you’ll have to ask him again when that time comes.”
Brown said he plans to approach this week leading up to the Clemson game like any other, even as the Terps look to overcome season-ending injuries to wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Deon Long.
“With the situation, I’m just going to go out and do what I do,” Brown said. “I can’t really worry about what Coach …as many reps as he gives me, that’s the ones I’m going to take advantage of. I’m going to go out there like I’m the starter, like I’ve been out there the past however many practices I’ve been out there. Just go out there and run the offense the best I can, and continue to get better.”

Maryland completely decimated by injuries will not have starting QB Brown, two starting WR's Diggs and Long, starting RB Ross and starting TE Stinebaugh. Amazing to lose all your starting skill players on offense in one week.

That is quite the injury list for Terps. Shame, had a promising season going...even with the FSU loss in the rear view.

I had them O 6.5 wins...what do you think the prospects of 7 wins are at this point? Would seem possible, although I don't have your knowledge of the depth chart to fill in for all those missing pieces.

Hope we cash Marshall tonight!

s-k they just are a snake bitten team the last two years with all the injuries. I think your team total over 6.5 should have been golden as I truly expected them to beat Wake. Now with all the injuries I just don't know. They are so thin at WR and RB for the rest of the year, and the defense has had their share of injuries in the secondary as well. MD has Clem, Syr, BC at home and VT and NCST on the road. At one time looking ahead I though this was going to be a good spot for them against Clemson but now it has totally changed. I don't expect to win vs. Clem or VT on road. I think all the other games they have a chance but need to win 2 out of those 3 to get to 7. I think they may be able to pull it off but their defense will really have to play well.

BOL, Timmy
Mags thanks and GL.

Gl no play for me
Marshall fucked around in the first half and were sloppy on Special Teams allowing the blocked punt for a gift TD and were sloppy defensively and just missed tackles that they should make. I think their offense is fine, they just need to get their act together on D and special teams. I am holding 9.5 for the game so laying 4 in 2H was a decent play imo. I still think I can win both.

Or lose both as it turned out. Marshall was just awful on defense in 2H and topped it all off by dropping two picks on the final drive. One likely could have been run in for a TD. Credit MTSU qb for a nice game. I never thought he could make plays like he did tonight.

better luck on the week-end , Tim.

I watched the Wake game and I guess I should say no more.
I don't like playing favorites, especially DD on the road, but I gotta go with Clemson.
Thanks for all the info you provide the rest of us.

Good luck Tim. Riding with you on Tech and Bulls. Hoping Neutz goes because I really like Buff w him going.

Good to see. His presence will open up the run game even more...and Kent susceptible to big shots
Thanks Mars -meant to ask you opinion on the Doo Dadders today and saw in Blood's thread that you like them. I am going to add them to my card.
