Walton is having ankle surgery and is done for the year.

Homer is now the starter. He is the better runner, but Walton's leadership and pass protection will be missed. Walton is Clinton Portia-esque is pass protection.

This will hurt in the short term but it will force Richt to use his younger talented athletes to spread the ball around and not rely as much on one player.

I still like them despite loss of Thompson. CM doesn't have the running game to take advtg of Toledo imo and on other side of the ball I think Toledo can have a lot of success both on the ground and in the air.
