Those are all laughable...don't even get me started on some of what I would assume are the opening lines (the first number listed) - those are a joke, and I would be furious if I didn't go undefeated with some of those...

You think NU is going to get that many at home? Hell, they were a worse team last year at home against a top 2 or 3 team (Texas) and were getting 4.5. Granted, this USC team is probably thought more highly of than that Texas team and rightly so, but you don't give the Corn 17.5 at home (ridiculous) and I don't think you give them 12.5 either. Hell, USC beat them by only 18 in their own joint last year

Noticed the argument concerning the usc neb game. But what i notice is that the books opened usc as 14 point favorites at the irish and at 17.5 at neb and at 15 at cal. SAY WHAT ? they open them as smaller favorites at notre dame than at cal or neb ??? Impossible to lay the points at nebraska and not be putting more on the game at notre dame. Didn't usc bitch slap these guys when usc was less talented than this year and notre dame was more talented than this year ?? i'll go bc ML i think bc wins the acc coastal conf or whatevr the hell their division is. they always bring in new OL who can flat play. matt ryan is one of the best qb in the country and yet gets no recognition. you have dunbar holding down the defense and i beleive callendar is back as rb if not they go about 3 deep anyways and that sytem in pretty damn good. they have a new coach who will actually let ryan showcase his skills and this will help bc and help us backers unlike last year where most of uss watched a 21 point lead go down the shitter in 5 minutes. still pissed btw we had it hahaha. but anyways this is the team to beat IMO in conference play.

FWIW, my partner in Vegas

went to the Nugget yesterday for me, shopping for a little Georgia Tech plus the points against Notre Dame. The line was 6 and they would only let him play that number to win a nickel.

The line immediately moved to 4 1/2.

Also, LSU is now favored by 8 over Va Tech in Week Two (as of 2 p.m. Pacific on 7/10/07).

Las Vegas Hilton expected to post their College GOY

openers in another week or so.

However, Jay Kornegay and company has the nice advantage of seeing the public's response to the Golden Nugget openers. They'll have numbers on quite a few games not listed on the Nugget's board, using history as our guide.

The Nugget was pretty close on many of their lines, they just missed mightily on a few IMO.

I can't emphasize enough how bad the opening line on Wisconsin/Penn State is. That is literally the single-worst line I've seen on a CFB game since I started betting a while back.

Thought it would be interesting to see what happened with these lines from last year. Denoted the closing number with a little "c". I used terms like "line move" but it isn't the traditional use of the word but i hope you understand what i mean , i trust you guys are smart enough to figure otu my intent. Same thing with "push back" ... not traditional use of the word but was the easiest most understandable way to convey meaning.

Penn state did in fact go off a considerable favorite, gt demolished notre dame and BC + 2 td would have been amazing. Same thing with "push back" ... not traditional use of the word but was the easiest most understandable way to convey meaning.

Wish i had followed through on every thought that i had in this thread a year ago lol. Penn state did in fact go off a considerable favorite, gt demolished notre dame and BC + 2 td would have been amazing. The thoughts on the notre dame lines ... one of my better threads. .... pat self on back. Too bad i didnt capitalize on it .... i suck.
