Cavs vs. Bulls

Cavs +3.5 *** 3 Units

This is the biggest game of the year for Cleveland. Chicago is coming off a game that I touted as their biggest game of the season. Chicago beat the Pistons last game in a game, which they almost gave away down the stretch. They squeaked by a depleted Pistons squad by only 2 points. Cavs are off a road loss to New York. They fought to the bitter end, but a tough NY bunch got the win. Remember, NYK was fighting for their playoff lives that game. Just look what they did in Dallas tonight. This is a very different Knicks bunch. That loss isn't as bad as it looks, but it's still a loss.

Coach Brown stressed the importance of this road trip. This is Cavs 3rd game of the trip. They sit 1-1, with games against Chicago, Boston, and Minnesota left. A win tonight could mean the difference between 3-2 and 4-1 (They'll be a 7pt favorite in Boston and a 4.5 point favorite in Minnesota). And that is a huge difference IMO.

This game is huge in the standings. The Bulls is just .5 game back from Cleveland for the 2nd spot. Cleveland needs this desperately, as their schedule is tough down the stretch. They still have a home game vs Miami on 4/5, a road contest at Washington on 4/6, a road game at Detroit on 4/8, and a game at home vs. NJ on 4/12. That game might be a playoff seed clincher for NJ. If they win today, they can essentially split those 4 tough games and STILL get the 2nd seed because Chicago's schedule is pretty tough down the stretch, including a game AT Detroit.

The Cavs sit 3 games back from Detroit for the 1st seed, so that essentially is out of the question. But that is a good thing for the Cavs. They can focus SOLELY on getting the 2 seed. Today's game IMO will determine who gets the 2nd seed. Today's game will determine who faces Detroit in the 2nd round of the plays, and who, ultimately, will be eliminated first in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

I will break down some more...

I'm not sure if I want to subject myself to watching another important Bulls home game, should be awful. Won't be touching anything other than possibly the under myself

Chicago leads the season series 2-1. This is another factor into the play. If Chicago wins, and the two teams happen to tie in the season, Chicago gets the tie breaker.

Brewers Fan mentioned the Cavs success avenging a home loss. They are 6-1 ATS and SU this season.

I take a lot of heat with all this wise/square talk, but sharp movement is betting this line down. It opened at 3.5/4 and has been hit down to 2.5. The line will likely rise to at least 3 tomorrow. We may see 3.5, so I suggest waiting. Public perception says Chicago is at home, already off a big W vs. Detroit, and Cavs off a bad road loss to NYK. Public perception also says Clev is a terrible road team. No way Chicago loses, right?

Well this is a PK in my mind. Hell, I'd even favor Cavs. But realistically the line is where it should be. Getting 3 or 3.5, or the ML at + plus is very valuable.

Very early consensus shows 73% on Sportsbook.com and 58% on Wagerline.com.

I'm hoping to see A LOT of Bulls wagers at the various forums, as this is a national TV early afternoon game. And the game will end JUST before the first NCAA tourny game. Everyone is gonna wanna get up early on the day, before betting the tourny.

fuck the bulls

last two times i took chicago they fked me twice won SU but couldnt cover the short line

Lebron James should have a huge game, as well. Chicago's backcourt is too small to defend him. Hinrich and Gordon are 6'3, and Duhon is 6'1. Deng will be Lebron's primary defend. I also expect Thomas to to lend a hand. Shit, Skiles might even try Sefelosha tomorrow for a few mintues. Either way, James should have his way. James put up 29, 33, and 19 vs. the Bulls this season. That 19 was in game #1, where he also had 12 assists.

james is a nightmare match for our people is correct. but their post people worry me more w/ offensive boards and bunnies.

Ty Thomas is a key for Chicago. He won that game down the stretch for Cavs vs. Det. He can provide some length on LBJ. But James is why too strong, and Thomas will accumulate plenty of fouls guarding James. So will Deng.

BG shouldnt have a real big game with hughes on him maybe like 18-20 on like 8/20

kirk has to wear his cape tom on the offensive end. i would love to see him get another dunk on the cavs. hehe.

I can answer any other questions/comments now. I'll be on for another 1/2hr. Other than that, I'll be back tomorrow with my unit size. It will depend on the line movement, and how many Bulls bets I see out there. No doubt, I wanna see another spike up to at least 3 tomorrow.

If Pavlovic has ANY defensive troubles in this game, Brown will be quick on the trigger and bring in Eric Snow, who Kobe Bryant has called "his toughest defender". Snow can guard Gordon or Hinrich.

Bulls are a superior team here... but will lose this one ironically. The line and action tells it all and the Cavs want the season split. As far as Hinrich/Gordan can;t guard James... come playoff time Nocci and Deng will do just fine and Bulls should win in 6... but they beat the Pistons... and that's who they care about... not King James and his patroon of losers.
