Three North Carolina starters appear poised to return to action, head coach Mack Brown confirmed during his Monday press conference.

Tar Heel senior interior offensive lineman Nick Polino, junior safety Myles Wolfolk, and cornerback Trey Morrison will be available for practice this week and are being evaluated with the potential to play on Saturday.

Update from Mack Brown on Wednesday on the injured players and their status in practice and for Saturday's game. (Earlier this week, Brown said that all five players have been cleared by the doctors for practice.)
"The injured players are practicing. They are doing a job good," Brown said. This includes S Myles Wolfolk, CB Trey Morrison, OL Nick Polino, and CB Storm Duck.

"Jace Ruder probably will not play but the other guys have a chance to play because they are doing a good job," Brown said. The UNC staff will review Wednesday's practice tape to see if they are well enough to play and the trainers will check them tonight for soreness. Polino practiced inside Wednesday and "he did a lot of different things," Brown said. "We played him at center and left guard."

The key for making sure the players are good to go for the Virginia game will be if they are comfortable, safe, and can help UNC win, Brown explained.
