Penn went 4 OTs to win, and UNH got a late TD for the backdoor cover. Towson then came back and inside 1 minute were inside UNH 5 yd line, ran one play that was stopped and then they let the clock run out.

Year to Date 33-19

FCS - 19-14
Crossovers 10-2
FBS - 4-3

Overall on Saturday 19-24 --- Year to Date 114-105-3.

Bryant +4 v Brown - First game ever between these teams who are only 14 miles apart. Of course, the Bryant program is new and Brown has been around a while. Brown has an excellent QB in Donnelly and a terrific game breaker in Spooner. Up against a team that held Holy Cross to minus yds rushing and played Maine almost even, they will need a maximum effort against an opponent that will be charged up for his game.

Holy Cross -14 1/2 @ Bucknell - I break one of my rules here, taking a team that lost a week ago in multiple OT. But HC outplayed Harvard, and since freshman QB Pujoils (sp) came on to win the Dartmouth game 2 weeks back they are a much better team. Bucknell managed 8 first downs and 80 - yes, 80 - total yards last week against Lafayette.

And speaking of Lafayette, I'm taking
Princeton -15 v Lafayette - Someone has pushed this over 2 tDs on me, but the Tigers look like they are on a roll for real - 103-29 last two weeks. Lafayette won't be that easy but I expect them to do no better than last year's 21 point beatdown.

Colgate +13 1/2 v Stony Brook - This got knocked down a whole point on me so I should have got on board earlier. Last year's Patriot League champs got off to a slow start this year, going 0-4. But they used their bye week well, and crushed Cornell a week ago. Stony, headed to the tough Colonial Conf, matches up well at this level, but not for 2 TDs worth

Yale -6 1/2 @ Dartmouth - Eli won a big one by two TDs AT Cal poly last week and try to go 4-0 here. Not an easy opponent, but Yale usually wins this annual matchup and the Green lost that quad OT game to Penn last week.

Samford -4 @ Appalachian - With Appy moving to the FBS next year, this looks like the Bulldogs last chance for a first time win against this opponent. After last week's impressive win over Georgia So, it looks like they have a real good chance to succeed against an underachieving opponent.

SE Missouri +17 v Murray State - I'm going with the home underdog RedHawks here, following fellow forum member Schrute and rating services Dunkel and Keepers. They will have to keep the combo QB Mikhail Miller and all everything Walter Powell under reasonable control.

Southern Illinois +13 1/2 @ Northern Iowa - Someone has knocked my points down a couple here, which tells me that I should have bet the Salukis earlier, and that someone is with me in liking them. Tough spot against a difficult opponent for NIU, loser by one point last week against NO Dakota which they could have won but lost to 2 4th Q TDs.

Youngstown -13 1/2 v Illinois St - Penguins look to go 5-1 and remain in playoff contention while the Redbirds start the difficult part of their conference schedule.

and finally, in FCS play, some one said "Go West, Old Man "

Portland St -2 @ Southern Utah - Let's simply try this; Portland State @ UC Davis 41-10.
UC Davis @ Southern Utah 21-3.

And let's not forget the FBS for two weeks in a row

So Florida +4 @ U Conn - Bulls came alive last week with big win over Cincy while UConn has brand new coach and vies for Conference basement with Temple.

Rice -1 @ UTSA - Owl's 3-2 record looks better to me than UTSA's 2-4

Miami O +5 1/2 @ U Mass - Loser gets to play Campbell in the soup bowl.

and I thought sure u would be on UConn and their new coach. Weist has had two weeks to install a real offensive game plan instead of the ones that were helping to get Pasqualoni fired. I like Uconn here

southern illy opened +20, now sits at +12.5. I made tha number basically in tha middle, have some value now on northern iowa. u know fcs teams much better than me, all it is is a numbers game to god. talk to me about these teams

Once you get past ND State , there are 3 playoff calibre teams in the MVC: No Iowa, Youngstown, So Illinois, .
NIU is best of these, I believe, but I would take 2 TDs with any of these teams playing one another, and that includes NDS. Plus the fact that NIU should be down a notch after last week.
